Women are attractive to say the least but EVERYONE there is pretentious as hell. They all dress up like it's some sort of formal event. The grove is NOT all that. The level of arrogance and perceived elitism is unmatched. Delusional to say the least. If you want to have fun in the grove better know someone.

BTW, I was offered to go to the LSU game last time we played in Oxford and the woman who invited me said I'd have to dress up. I said I was going to wear my jeans and LSU shirt but would look nice. She said no coat no game. I wear a coat daily for work. I watched on TV.

tru dat my friend. Ole Miss hates us more than anyone in the SEC combined. Blee dat.

i've been to over 20 games there and they treat most other fans pretty well but when LSU comes to town, they're ready for a preemptive strike. they think all LSU fans are Cajuns and they evidently hate all things Cajun. When I was there they even wrote an article in the school paper how Cajuns are trash.

Most posters have it right:
An unhappy marriage of red neck pretentiousness and desperate penis envy. Everything about the Grove smells of an inferiority complex.

She lied. Like 60% of the frat guys don't wear a coat or blazer.

I went in '03 and decided to check out the grove. It was beyond boring and they were trying to win an SEC West title.

I'm not sure how it is now but when I went there it was an act of congress to try and get cell phone service with any phone but some no name service that everyone in Oxford has.

Have a great trip

Only time I've been was in 1960 - things have probably changed a bit since then.

I haven't been in several years but if the om student section is still close to the visitor's section in the stadium, wear a helmet to the game - those little brats like to toss empty whiskey bottles.

I've been to every ole miss vs. lsu game since '06. They're tailgating is a completely different scene. Most people are all dressed up. Gotta keep the drinks in cups, and I don't even think you can have an open flame/grill anywhere near the grove. expect a lot of "geaux to hell lsu" banners/shouts. Basically the only upside to ole miss is their women are smokin hot.

I'm just saying, I don't ever see too many coats or blazers at Ole miss games. Ties, slacks, and dress shirts are everywhere, but coats and blazers aren't too common.

Dressed up rednecks eating walmart food trays on china. Drink your beer in cups and Stay in Tunica. Grove is vastly overrated.

High School stadium, and the most ignorant students/fans in the SEC.
