I've seen Green Bay and UGA use it and I've only seen a few of their games.

It's not a toss dive. It's Power toss. They are pulling the backside guard and he is wrapping up to the playside LB or the pulling guard is kicking out the end man on the LOS usually the DE. That is either power or power kick. They are running power and just pitching it back. You would have the same affect if you handed if off out of the pistol.

LSU had the #1 rushing offense in the SEC. I would say whatever formation we used was effective

That really worked out well for LSU in getting their arse kicked in 3 straight games didn't it?

many on the rant use it as their "poster child" of a predictable offense but they are wrong as can be. we are predictable but that has zero to do with this play.

except this play is basically the symbol of predictability because

1. when tossed, the D knows it's a run, allowing them to all attack more quickly than with a handoff

2. you can't run a play action from this play

can it be effective? obviously

is it a limiting play? exceptionally

About half of all plays and formations are limiting based on groupings, field position, down and distance and tendencies based on hours of film study.

Mode of getting the ball is pretty insignificant

I've grown to love it, it is a constant joke with my friends everytime we run it we go nuts yelling "toss dive" the GOAT.

It isn't a bad play. I think we would all just like to see it a little less and have some more balance running out of other formations and with more handoffs. If we continue to run this much with a toss, it makes any handoff play less likely to fool the D if it is play action.

It's the same with any play where Harris isn't under center. We run so much on 1st and 2nd down that a defense is always going to play the read option first in this formation. Then they know they can play 3rd and long as a pass. We just play too close to the percentages and with too little variety to keep a defense honest most of the time.

I like the play. It is all the stuff we don't run that pisses me off.

tend not to like it because it eliminates effective play action. But when you can physically manhandle the other team, like we obviously could against TT, you could pitch it, hand it or get it to LF any way you want and we will run effectively.

Flea flicker baw.

I don't mind it because it works. I rolled through some LT highlights with San Diego, and what do you know? cam Cameron ran it there.

It's our most effective run play.

nah, power is. there is a cool toss-power variation though.

I REALLY hate the hurry up toss play. that shite is THE worst.

No one is as innovative in the power run game as Miles.

Wait so there is a rule that you can't fake the toss?

Do you guys watch the games? Just going off Tuesday, LSU was averaging a first down per rush, so it makes sense to run it rt?

But they actually went play action on first down several times, because LSU can run the ball.

Just wonder why our fans make shite up?

Having the top rushing offense in the SEC is a bad thing? The retard level here continues to grow and grow.

Bitch all you want about pass plays called and their results, but you are showing how clueless you are to bitch about the LSU running effort and its results.

I heard the same, but it is not true. Michigan runs the same thing.

What is interesting to me is how the play conflicts with pro-style. Playing under center allows the running back to get some momentum, sets up timing for passes, and allows you to play-action. We prefer to limit how much we pass and our favorite play eliminates the play action threat so right now we only get the momentum benefit of being under center.

Stanford just ran the toss dive to McCaffrey.
