As much as I loved beating the shite out of them, I hated it at the same time.

Was this salute during the National Anthem or was it a salute to the crowd either before or after the game?

Awesome either way.

right. It was the third inning which is when someone in the military is honored for their service During every Sunday home game.

This Sunday they decided to honor the entire Air Force team for their future service. It was really a special moment.

The LSU players went over to the AF players and everyone shook hands like they do at the end of each game. This was after the "four corners" salute the AF players gave the fans.

It made me think that here we have young men of the same age on both teams but what a different future the two groups have in front of them.....

I agree. I wore my retired AF hat to the game with my LSU sweats & coat. I was particularly proud of the first pitch selection. Served 2 tours myself.

Seldom has so few words said so much, I salute you Sir.

I attended Friday night and the crowd reaction to Major Kazlausky taking the field and his salute to all corners of the Box gave me chills.

Does anyone know if there is video of the team being honored yesterday?

Haven't seen one, they don't show it in the Geauxzone highlights.

I don't think so, but I can't say it with 100% certainty. I don't recall seeing it being mentioned on TV or in the papers last year. I work with someone who knows the AFA coach. I'll see if I can get a definitive answer.

They got a standing ovation and tons of applause. The longest and loudest I've witnessed at the Box in a while.

The LSU Athletic Dept should be pushing this story on their web site and in the national media.

One, because it's a great story and worthy of national attention and two, it would help offset some of the negative attention our fan base gets during football season.

WOW Nice Photo, I wish I had been there. I have a friend who played baseball at Air Force, he is a retired AF Pilot I guess this is a long standing tradition for their athletes?
