LSU is 10-2 SEC champion or 11-1 Alabama? Bama might be ranked higher in polls?

They would try to find a way to select both

LSU. I feel like a broken record, but conference champs and head to head are in their criteria.

How does Wisconsin finish out?

This scenario would likely cause a rule to be made for the future. Resume wise it's Bama, but if we are supposed to select the 4 best teams it's clearly LSU

Conference championships won,
Strength of schedule,
Head-to-head competition,
Comparative outcomes of common opponents (without incenting margin of victory), and,
Other relevant factors such as key injuries that may have affected a team’s performance during the season or likely will affect its postseason performance.

If LSU gets left out in that scenario based on that Wisconsin loss, I hope they never schedule a decent OOC opponent ever again. There's just no upside to it.

What if LSU and Auburn win out. And auburn loses SECCG to a 2 loss UT who has a blowout loss to 2 loss Bama? Lol

UT is 2 loss SEC champ with losses to 2 loss Bama and 2 loss A&M. 2 loss LSU has the longest win streak with wins against both

I know UT has to go in this scenario, just saying LSU has a case as the "better team" if I'm a committee member, having only 1 SEC loss to UT's 2, and beating 2 of UTs losses. Will LSU get punished for playing a top 10 big 10 team in their home state? Not to mention how both games LSU lost ended, under a deferent coach no less

This is how it would look:
UT: 11-2 (SEC champ, 2 SEC losses)
LSU: 9-2 (1 SEC loss, played top10 BIG team, beat both of UT's losses, non-P5 game cancelled)
AU: 11-2 (LSUs only SEC loss)
UA: 10-2 (talent on paper, Saban)
A&M: 10-2 (still 10-2, best SEC east and west champs)

^ what a shite show

I doubt it will have as much impact as people think. Compared to Alabama's resume, it'd hardly matter unless USC would have turned out being good this year. They didn't though. They suck. The committee will pay more attention to who won the game, common opponents, and who won the conference when comparing LSU and Alabama. Ultimately if LSU wins the SEC with a 10-2 record they are most certainly in over Alabama.

If LSU would somehow win out? No way. Firing your longtime coach and then beating 6 ranked teams (if LSU goes to the SECCG) back to back, including a short week holiday road game.

No one has ever done that man

I agree we would clearly be the better team, just saying resume wise Bama would be a one loss team to our two losses. I do think we go as SEC champs

It's LSU. The very fact that we didn't lose a game after replacing the coach would be a consideration in this scenario, as well as the more common criteria like conference championship and H2H.

I would think that if we are undefeated post-CLM, that this criteria will come into play. In addition to the other items listed.

What if you add 1 loss Louisville into this. I say it would go LSU for sure in but the argument between Bama and Louisville would be fascinating.

Let's add a one loss BIG champ Ohio state and a one loss Michigan that lost close on the road at OSU to a one loss Louisville and an undefeated Clemson.

Oh. And how about undefeated Baylor.

If that crazy shite plays out and UT wins the SEC with everyone having 2+ losses, SEC likely gets left out unless mayhem breaks out in the other P5 conferences too. You'd have 4 other conference champs, plus possibly have Louisville and Michigan out there with one loss each to Clemson and Ohio State.

If ANYONE is getting in with 2 losses its LSU based on the strength of schedule to finish, 2 losses both coming in close games on the road vs good teams, and that they look like a completely different team post-coaching change.

That phrase matters big time. They would consider us as being "undefeated" had we had the current coaching staff.

Add to that the conference championship and the head to head and it's not even close.

Maybe neither.

Undefeated Clemson, Washington and Michigan/Nebraska. West Virginia? Then they look At the clusterf%]%] of choosing a two loss team over several other 1 loss teams and make an easier choice to leave us out.
