Coaching. They don't give him a chance to show what he can do. What makes Miles different from Saban, Meyer, Carroll, etc... is that Miles doesn't give true freshmen a KEY role in the offense. Miles runs Shepard on 1st or 2nd down. What did Meyer do with Tebow in 06? He put him in on 3rd down situations and let him run for a 1st. This is what Miles needs to start doing and stop being afraid of giving a true freshman a key role.

Shep should have the same type of role that Tebow had as a freshman. come in as a change of pace player with a unique skill set. I believe Harvin played that year also as a freshman. tebow and harvin. shep and randle. Is urban meyer available?

I put the blame solely on his mother for not getting pregnant a year earlier.

I wasn't aware Barkley and Shep where the same person and develop at the same pace...

There is no one to blame for a freshmen not being ready to play college ball. Shep has been good but had made mistakes two. He will be fine.

...RS is a true Freshman. Very, very few are ready to make great contributions at this point in their careers.

ya know...your reading comprehension is really weak, I said those other coaches would have red-shirted Shepard. I'm sure Miles would have loved to have done that for Shepard...but then the delusional rantards like you would have had a meltdown cause Miles at 47-12 doesn't have a clue. do the world a favor and grow up.

Which is bullshite. They wouldnt have redshirted him. Get your hands out of Miles' pants.

I could be wrong, but I thought I read that Shepard threw for over 1,700 yds in his senior year in HS. If that's true, then WTF is he doing sitting on the bench - especially in light of JJ's lack of success. Give the kid a chance, maybe a couple of whole series - not a run then back to the bench.

his high school coach for not getting him a better stength and conditioning program. Kid doesn't look physically ready for the SEC.
