To all pricks!!! Is it that you enjoy watching our batters stike out so much?

The first prick answered me quickly. No, he did not answer my complaint, but he did note that I mispelled Coach M. (Is that better)?

Batting Problems

Posted by jtiger on 6/10/12 at 1:55 pm
I have been told that the batting coach is a former player for Maniere at his former coaching job. No, not a coach there - but a player. I can see now why there are so many mistakes by our batters. How many times do you see an LSU batter take a pitch waist high, and right down the middle of the plate - then, swing at a pitch a couple of inches off the ground. I would offer the job to the batting coach at Stony Brook before he leaves town possibly on his way to Omaha. Now, let me see how many pricks will critise my post.
Doesn't coach Stu act as a part-time OC, and O Line Coach because he has to assist our new OC Kraigthorpe?

Miles' Pay Package

Posted by jtiger on 1/10/12 at 2:48 pm
Last night cost Miles over $1M/yr. over each year to the end of his contract. I hope he realizes that.

On JJ - no matter what happens, JJ will not be our QB next year. That's a comforting truth. He has had some good play at times, but he is not to be trusted as our team's QB. Never again will we see him on the field for LSU.

I believe some other teams could have had a better time against Bama.

What radio station and time does Coach Miles conduct his radio show. Thanks

I asked this question considering who goes to the SECCG.

Tie Breaker After Head to Head

What happens if A beats B, B beats C, and C beats A? What is the next tie breaker if A,B, and C all have identical SEC and Divisional records?

He meant ALWAYS playing 2 QB's. Not an occasional play every now and then.

That can be fixed. Don't we have a QB coach who is supposed to improve on things like that.

One more thing. I remember times when Coach Mac would play 2 QBs in the same backfield at the same time - a running QB and a passing QB. That gives the defense a nightmare trying to line up for the play.

Jordan Jefferson

I have a change of heart with respect to JJ. I used to think he was the worst QB in the country. I looked at him carefully against AU, and I saw lots of things he is capable of doing. He runs well, and on short throws he's OK if given the time.

He is at his worst when he stands in the pocket looking for receivers 30 yards away. Our offensive line has to take the blame for a lot of things I previously blamed on JJ. He needs to set up in a moving pocket, and go for shorters passes. I'm an accountant, not a football coach. If I can see these things, WTF are our coaches doing?
Years ago, I heard a saying that you can find a kicker in any baroom. It's time to go get one. Hartley's problem is mental. I'd bet that in practice he can hit 50 in a row. It's just something about the stadium.
Saban may win another NC this year.

re: Why Miles won't play Lee!

Posted by jtiger on 9/27/10 at 3:38 pm to
Playing Lee would be a lose-lose move for Miles. If he begins to play him now and Lee does good, he looks bad for not playing him earlier. If Lee looks bad, Miles has to answer why he put a loser in the game.

LSU and Passing

This is Coach McClendon all over again. He was a bullheaded Head Coach is ever there was one. Tiger fans had to put up with his 1939 offensive game plan for 19 years. Finally, AD Dietzel fired him and hired Bill Arnsparger from the Miami Dolphins.

So what? These days, tatoos are "in style."

Miles' Clothing on the Sideline

Posted by jtiger on 9/20/10 at 12:53 pm
This may be a trival question, but I am curious why Miles always wears a long-sleeved purple jacket no matter what the temperature is. Last Saturday night in Tiger Stadium, it was hot, and I saw sweat on his face and neck - and he had a buttoned up jacket on. Is there any particular reason why he dresses like that?

What BR radio station broadcasts Saints games?

FB Recruiting

Posted by jtiger on 9/13/10 at 3:19 pm
I just checked out Rivals and saw where LSU is ranked 3rd in the country in recruiting. We are ahead of Ohio, Texas, and everyone else.

Miles is a great recruiter - his problem is that he cannot coach the talent he gets.

Jefferson

Posted by jtiger on 9/5/10 at 12:55 pm
He has not improved in any facit of the game after all of last year, this Spring, and this Fall camp. Not one damn bit. When will the coaches see this, and go to plan B, whatever that is.

There must be some action available to the coaching staff. Obviously I don't want this to happen, but what would they do if Jefferson sustains a season ending injury. Would they just forfeit the remainder of games? The coaches should just do what they would have to do if such would happen. Surely, we have someone else on our active player roster. Could it get any worse? Should Lee start the next game?
