Who do yall think will be the starting WRs?

Man, we have so many options... Was watching some highlights of the more notable WR acquisitions from the portal and was interested to see Winston Watkins and Jayce Brown both playing slot a bunch. Both Kansas St and Ole Miss also used them out of the backfield a few times and that could be an interesting wrinkle to watch. With Trey'Dez having a potential breakout year, I imagine we'll be in 3 WR sets more often than 4 (Unless Tre'Dez lines up a bunch outside).
My guess would be Watkins slot, Jayce WR-Z, and Jackson WR-X
Next man up in rotation would be Wilson from UF.

Definitely going to be a challenge to be in the 1s and stay there. A lot of options on this team and coach will use actual results to set his 1s and 2s

I think Wilson could be our highest producing receiver. He’s shifty & thrives in a LK offense.

If Wilson is healthy, he can be unbelievable. With that said I think Watkins, Jayce Brown, and Harris are your main 3 with Wilson playing a lot.

Gotta be Watkins and Harris for 2 of the three - the other one - call me crazy but I think Elzy starts by year end

Jayce Brown has the most production of anyone in that room. He’s definitely gonna be in the top 3

Agree, I think he’ll have a helluva year. Thing is, if Watkins plays mostly inside, that pushes Jayce outside. Havent watched any “film” just highlights and seems like Jayce is more fit for inside WR. Wouldnt really matter if he can get off press and him being Z, we could motion him presnap a bunch anyways. Could also move Watkins to Z and have Jayce in slot.

Winnie Watkins and Eugene Wilson are the two I would keep an eye on. Jackson Harris will be the big body receiver that we were missing last year.
I still think Eugene will have the most explosive plays (20+ yd receptions) on the team. Would love to see him in the return game as well if possible.

Any intel on Tre brown? I feel like we haven’t heard a word on him. He may have been injured in spring. Seems like he was somewhat of a quality get in the portal at the time, really productive at ODU.m. Good transfer rating (I know portal transfer ratings don’t always mean much). Looks like he is a 5th year senior too.

I expect a top 5 to get significant playing time maybe a 6th guy to get about 10 catches

Obviously I’m not there. Like I was saying - no one that gives practice reports has mentioned Tre Brown nor anywhere near the 1’s. Maybe I’m missing something

Yeah Tre Brown might not be as high up as I thought.

I assume Elzy will be WR-X if his name is popping up more often than the others. Totally forgot about Wright. There’s depth but mostly unproven especially the younger guys. Would like to see top 4ish WRs separate themselves and not have to keep a random rotation.
