That’s a pretty bold timetable to return from that type of injury, but the type of care and treatment they receive versus a regular ole Joe from off the street is different.

Whit and Green being listed as "back by Bama" might just be strategic so teams think they need to plan for them to be back.

So if it required surgery, it wasn't just a fracture correct? Something had to be placed and pinned, I would think. I can't see that being 6 weeks.

I'd settle for having him back for the playoffs, but hopefully it's sooner as this timeline would indicate.

Collins injury was in 1997, almost 30 years ago. Surgical techniques have changed greatly in that time.
His rehab will be extensive and brutal but Weeks is a warrior.

I always thought a broken fibula was much easier to come back from than basically any bone in your leg

Since the fibula is not a weight bearing bone, I would expect him back before the Arkansas game. Alabama is a stretch, but I could see him playing against Texas or Tennessee.
