He’s fine at the weight he is. It’s not the 90s.

No need for a 250 pound LB anymore

Average NFL linebacker still weighs over 240.

That's obviously not a knock on Weeks now, but he could use a little more weight.

He needs to get stronger, I watched him a bunch and if an offensive player got on him, he couldn’t get off.

All that said he has instincts that are hard to teach. Honestly I thought he’d have problems gaining weight and keeping some athleticism. Be it he was already a fringe athlete. But he’d added weight and I think moves good enough.

Next two weeks will be huge tests for all the LBs; with Jefferson & then ole miss in two weeks

I’ve also seen him struggle a couple times with outside fits and coverage assignments. Once today on the long run in the first half and also in the spring game. With that said he looks a hell of alot better than Speights

He looked good, but wasn’t perfect. Out of position a few times but I like how he plays fast.

Starters reps will help with that. Remember how quickly Beckwith became a force at MLB after taking some lumps and making some mistakes early? Very different players in different style defenses, but both were/are talented freshmen who seem to have some skills that the vets around them don’t.
