A true fan is not consumed with winning and championships. A true fan wants a true Cajun leading the team of the bayou state's flagship university

Someone that knows,understands and loves the culture of our beloved state. Someone that can run a trout lin3, skin a buck and make a roux.

Leave the winning to the boys in Crimson and the other Tigersm True LSU fans will appreciate the unique opportunity that Coach O provides and not wish for what others have.

uh... no. I would rather be living another NC (like 2003, 2007) than having a bowl of gumbo lamenting a 10-3 season. I do agree in the best case we have Coach O take us there - that would be awesome. It can happen.

I also want Canada to stay, I've been impressed most of the season with what he was trying to do. Let's just say it's evident in his playcalling that his approach is worthwhile. Obvious, the execution is lacking, and that's not 100% on the players.

However... and it's a big however...

If we have someone waiting in the wings that they think is better. By all means, show him the door. It's the same as recruiting, who cares if you lose a Hootie if replaced with Adams. It isn't a question of good enough, it's a question of best available.

It happens. People get pushed out all the time... IF there's someone better to take their place. Unfairly often. Too bad. Now if there's not a better option like, IMHO, a Cregg for a Grimes then it's a different story.

I have no problem with any fan supporting or not supporting LSU's HC. My issue is with the pure, raw, unadulterated hate for Coach O. Having an opinion, one way or another about a HC is not an issue, every football team fan base has that divide. But the hate as espoused here serves no purpose whatsoever, especially in the context of only wanting the best for LSU. That argument holds no water when it is all negative. Coach O will be LSU's HC next yr, regardless of who he chooses as OC. Are you going to hate all next yr? Hate is one of the most wasted of emotions out there. And FWIW: I know a bad coach when I see one perform: Curly, Stovall, Archer, even DiNardo at the end. Coach O is head & shoulders above all of them.

That is exactly what is being said when those wanting good decisions to be made are blasted for not being LSU fans. Those that point out that O was a weak hire as LSU should be a premier job but hires a dline coach that no other school wanted to take a chance on. When I say no other school, I don't mean any P5 school. I mean ANY school.

Then that Coach no one else wanted hire a highly touted OC (hiring and recruiting were sold as his strengths) only to want to fire him 1 year later. Wanting to fire him because he wants to be the OC and pointing out that the Dline does not know offense.
