This would be great except for the fact that Leslie will get another 5 years and a bigger buyout

Beat Bama no doubt

Even after this past weekend, I firmly believe we beat Bama by at least 10 points. This is why:

(1.) The Revenge factor. Last November we all wanted one thing, revenge. What we got instead was a heartbreaking loss, at home, on national TV, that crushed our SEC and BCS hopes. The fact that those cocky fricks have beaten us in awful ways the last two times we played them should be enough to motivate anyone.

(2.) Our goal vs. their goal. The coaches, players, and fans all know that the SEC and BCS titles are no longer possible, so now what do we have to play for? One simple thing, frick Bama. This game is our Super Bowl now, but for them its just a another hurdle they must get over to reach their Super Bowl. Its a matchup of a team that has nothing to lose against a team that has everything to lose.

(3.) The coaches will let loose. I expect the coaching to let it all out when we go to Tuscaloosa. No punches will be held. I expect a lot of blitzing, deep balls, and probably even a trick play or two. Les knows how bad everyone wants this game.

I'd like to beat Bama no doubt. Your question is really ludicrous. If we consistently beat Bama we'll have a much better chance at winning 'ships if we don't. What the hell kind of question is this?

I don't really care about the distinction between BCS bowls and non-BCS bowls. Winning the Sugar Bowl used to be the capstone of an SEC championship season, but sneaking into the Sugar Bowl becaue the champs are playing in the NCG is hollow. If we don't win the SEC championship, then the only thing I care about bowl wise is getting a good matchup, which might be more likely to happen in a non-BCS bowl if the shitty BCS bowls of recent years are any indication.

So, the choice is obvious. Beat Alabama. Choosing to lose a regular season game in order to sneak into a better bowl would be weak anyway, no matter who it is.

It warms my veins, valves, ventricles, capillaries and corpus cavernosa to extreme heights, temperatures, and ecstasy when we beat those red pieces of babboon feces in ANYTHING.

I would root for the Mongolians in South Park, the aliens in Independece Day, and the bin Ladens over those toothless detergent-head subhumans.

Beating Bama. It was twenty years ago this year that Pigs Flew, and Curley had his ONLY significant win at LSU.

Beating Bama is my biggest wish, hope and dream every year regardless of whether they still make it to the NC. It's my favorite thing. Beats Christmas. Means as much to me and beating us means to Ole Miss. Well, it means more to me, I'm sure. I can get through any kind of season if we just beat Bama.

Revenge lasts until that guy across the line from you reaches over and slaps the snot out of you. After that last year doesn't really mean a whole lot to you. It becomes about surviving the night. This is usually how "revenge" works against big, strong and fast teams like BAMA who don't get caught up in a lot of emotion. They just go out and do their job.

Just a "hurdle"? Here is what sets BAMA apart from others. No game is just a "hurdle" to them. Just like you said, they know they have "everything" to lose. So I wouldn't count on BAMA not taking LSU serious. BAMA remembers what happened the last time LSU came to Tuscaloosa and knows how tough of an opponent LSU is regardless of how many losses the Tigers may have. This game is not just a hurdle. It's the highest mountain left for BAMA and Saban to climb and the team is very aware of it. So don't count on BAMA not being focused.

(3.) The coaches will let loose. I expect the coaching to let it all out when we go to Tuscaloosa. No punches will be held. I expect a lot of blitzing, deep balls, and probably even a trick play or two. Les knows how bad everyone wants this game.

Please Blitz. Screen passes are a very effective weapon in BAMA's arsenal (or have you forgotten AJ to Yeldon). LSU does not need to change it's stripes for the BAMA game. It's going to be big boy on big boy. It's BAMA -vs- LSU. It's not pussy hurry up no huddle, quick snap, crazy formations (leave that high school crap with AU). It's line up, execute and best team win. It's going to be a classic as usual with both teams having a shot. Why should LSU risk killing drives or giving up big plays taking unnecessary chances. LSU should play to it's strengths like BAMA will do and whoever wants it the most will come out on top.

I know most will see this post as a flame but it's really about the fact that you guys really need to stop for a minute and hear yourselves. You sound like Auburn with this "just beat BAMA and I'll be happy". You're better than this. It's that exact attitude that has kept Auburn mediocre for so long. Sure beating BAMA will ease the pain but don't make it sound like it's all that matters.

I'm so glad to see people admitting that beating Bama means EVERYTHING. We as Bama knew it did, we just couldn't LSU to admit they would swap everything just to beat Bama. Cool. Auburn is also on this list you have just subscribed to.
