If it wasn't for a guy named saban, Miles would be in the SEC Hall of Fame. Idiot.

Well the 07 title was 2 losses and was nick sabans players
Using your logic, one could say the 19 championship was Les Miles players.

Joe Dean caused more damage than all three of those put together. It’s ridiculous that you picked an era in which LSU was consistently a top 10 program. Dean hired Curley and Dinardo; he also offered the TCU(?) coach, couldn’t finalize the deal, and then hired Dinardo. The TCU coach got fired the next year…BY TCU!!!! But you think playing for one national title, winning another, and hanging around the top 10 is worse than that.

1&2 caused me to cancel my season tickets and quit going to games.

3 caused me and my family to cut 100% of our financial support to LSU. Plus the damage done by the other 2 is fairly quickly being reversed, not sure we will ever recover from our spiral down the Woke trail. So FKing wins easily.

Still can’t comprehend how an incompetent Miles was able to coach for so long

I can only say it never ceased to amaze me that Miles was able to maintain as good of a record that he did - he could barely speak. I think it speaks to the state the program was in when he inherited it and how strong the recruiting culture that had been cultivated by Sam Nadar was and how that allowed coaches to seamlessly step in and not miss a beat on recruiting - Nadar's contributions to LSU's football success will probably never be fully recognized but they are significant.

Nevertheless, these things IMHO allowed Miles to succeed at a level that I don't think he could have anywhere else or even close. He also had a tremendous run of good fortune that was bound to run out and finally did.

He won a national championship and was a perennial 10+ win a season coach. We should have had better success, but GTFOH with that.

Well.. we have 4. But also imagine how many he could've won if he wasn't a stubborn idiot.

Short Term: Alleva & F. King. - the mismanagement can and will be overcome and forgotten by new AD and president.

Long Term: Miles - The damage to the LSU Football brand by this grass eating, no offense, shitty management of players talents and double standards goober will be with us for awhile. The 2011 NC game was a joke. After replacing Jarrett Lee (8-0) with JJ. THEN when JJ was stinking up the field during the NC game, Miles didn't even look Jarrett's way and give him a chance. The team quit on him and it was more than obvious.
