03 to me was better in every aspect of the game. Loved me some Skyler Green also.

This. The 07 team goes undefeated without injuries to Dorsey, Flynn, Doucet, and the RJF suspension.

People also forget how banged up that team was throughout the season but when they were fully healthy like they were against Virginia Tech and Ohio State they dominated.

Yeah the injuries were what brought 07 down, truly. 03 def had the better defense, but 07 was no slouch, at least when healthy. 07 had the better offense, but conversely 03 could get it done too. I can't honestly remember well enough to say who had the better special teams between the two. Coaching I'd go with 03, but it's as much in hindsight than actual ability at the time. Miles, crowton and Pelini have fallen from any grace they had.

In all fully healthy it's really a toss up. If I had to chose I would probably have to give it to 03, but it's definitely not a given and I can see arguments either way.

Fully healthy I go with 2007 but it's hard to say

The 2003 Defense was better than the 2007

The 2007 Defense was great once it woke up but it was definitely not until the 2nd Half

The 2007 Offense gives this team the edge though

03 without hesitation. That defense is still the nastiest I’ve ever seen at lsu. You felt sorry for the opposing QBs at times

2003….by a lot

2006 was better than 2007. Schedule was brutal.
@ Florida, @ Auburn, @ Tennessee, @ Arkansas . all of those teams were in the top 10 when they played them.

03 but the kicking situation that year was arse. Did y'all forget about how bad it was? Ryan Gaudet and Chris Jackson kicked for a combined 60% on the year with multiple missed extra points. One thing about Saban is that he never valued kicker properly until recently. He's had bad kickers the majority of his coaching career.

It's impossible to answer as both teams won national championships, but the 2003 team was more consistently good on a week-by-week basis (save their inexplicable big loss at home to underdog Florida). 2007 team led a charmed life and were extremely lucky to have survived the season.

2019, LOL.

I think 2019 offense vs 2011 defense would be a great watch.

For OP, 2003 easily. OU was touted as the best team in CFB history. I know the White injury and KSU loss, but I truly believe we played the best team in OU and would have crushed USC.

03 all day

College football was so busted in 2007 that Boston College, Cal, USF, West Virginia, and Kansas we’re all ranked #2 in the AP at various points. Not to mention Missouri was threatening for a spot in the national championship. We were the only two loss National Champion in history as well

03. Coaching makes it a no-brainer.
