Who you got? I think football and basketball are easy to figure out with Russell and Simmons. Baseball is a different animal. Just making it to the show can be seen as avoiding bust status. Injuries are more common of a derailment in that sport as well, at least IMO.

Probably not the answer but Jared Mitchell never making it to the big leagues was a major disappointment.

That's absolutely the case. Nobody who makes it to the majors can be considered a bust.

You can make the argument for Ben considering the injuries

There have been plenty of absolutely studs in college who haven't sniffed the majors. And plenty who you wouldn't think would have much of a chance end up on rosters. Baseballs just an entirely different beast.

Biggest LSU baseball bust

Rick Greene? 16 overall pick in the 1992 draft and made 1 appearance in the show... i think injuries derailed him

Brandon Larson was the 14th pick in 1997 and had a career with a -0.9 WAR

I will always remember Jared Mitchell scoring from 2nd base on a sac fly to center field at Auburn. I was at that game.

There was no error on the play and Mitchell scored standing up...

Yeah I believe in his second season, but he played some type of professional baseball up until 2021. Not sure if the injury is the reason he didn’t make it, but we’ll never know.

Seems like I remember Jared scoring from 1st on a ball in the corner and he was literally right behind the runner that was on 2nd when they crossed home plate. Dude had amazing speed

I thought Larson was going to have the career that Bregman eventually has had.

Dude was blazing fast on the bases. You must be thinking of 2008 because it wasn’t in 2009 because that was in BR. I remember like yesterday when the dreadlocks of doom making an appearance that weekend.
