Do those students make millions for the school?

I do not follow your line of thinking. Those that get a free ride should be punished more harshly than those that are not? Really? I thought the NCAA made it a point that they should all be treated the same?

the answer is win

with integrity

Les Miles knows what this program means to the good people of Louisiana. He will know more facts than any of us. He will confer with the proper people and make the best decision....

not hard to understand IMO and I'll continue to support LSU no matter what he finally decides to do

IMHO, winning/integrity are two sides of the same coin.

Not if you're the miami hurricanes or oklahoma under switzer. Multiple NC's won by very well-known corrupt programs. As long as the NCAA doesnt take them away who cares.

What is sad is that so many people are so anxious to burn the players at the stake before the whole story is out. All of the self righteous posturing is pretty nauseating.

It feels like most people would trade running water and good sewage systems for a crystal football. Welcome to Iraq!

if we suspend them for NW St. how is that any less of a punishment than suspending them for Oregon?

You suggest a 1 game suspension for all that fought.
Is there actually a Team Rule against fighting off campus on your own time?
What if the brawl had happened 10:00am at a Church Revival?

The Rule, what exactly is it besides the curfew?
We must be righteous, just and fair.
How many was it that deliberately disobeyed him?

I'm not going to go look up the LSU football code of conduct, but I'm going to go ahead and assume, with no reluctancy at all, that getting in bar fights isn't conduct deemed suitable for LSU football players. Call me crazy, but I'm sure this isn't something Les wants his players doing.

Anyone that was involved in that fight, whether provoked or not, would and should be suspended for at least 1 game, whether charges are filed or not. Miles looks at these players as his kids, and they deliberately disobeyed him (Lion King reference), which kids tend to do, but there are consequences for disobeying rules. They should be held accountable for their actions, whether we all agree that these things happen all the time, or whether we've been involved in these same things when we were in college.

Why are you so fired up for them to miss a game? Are there other punishments available to LM besides causing them to miss the game and hurt the program? What if he punishes them and you do not hear about it? I am guessing that it is not real punishment unless he does it for all the world to see.

How does Miles punishment for a fight translate to integrity? Players that fight lack integrity? Players that fight after curfew lack integrity? Is integrity associated with the severity of a punishment given to a player that breaks curfew and/or gets into a fight?

You want Les to put them in the corner for timeout? They are football players, the most suitable punishment for a football player is to not let them play football. It's pretty obvious.

They aren't mutually exclusive. I want an athletic director, coach, and players who ensure both.

That would be fine as long as there was no bad publicity or you cheat behind the scence, otherwise you could wait at the table as your next job.
