And the total score of those 22 games is literally like 1000-13

Edit: I was pretty close....it is actually 988-25

ULL hasn't scored a TD vs. LSU since 1924

Auburn

Historically, we rarely played Auburn. It wasn't until they implemented the SEC divisional configuration that we started playing them every year.

Winsipedia is just tremendous. Invaluable resource.

Something I just noticed looking at our records, LSU's SEC record is currently listed at 399-284-28 all time.

Going for conference win #400 this weekend. Neat.

These are the weirdest ones to me, but that's how it was in the SEC before the schedule got formalized. Anything goes, kinda wild wild west style scheduling.

Was blown away when my dad told me we used to play UGA or Tennessee maybe twice a decade back in the day.

Yes. My discovery of this site is directly correlated to a decrease in work productivity today.

Yeah, Auburn was in that group too. Notice that we've played Auburn maybe 20 times more than UGA; that goes to having to play them every year since the divisions were created.

It's a damn shame it was like that. 3 of the greatest football players ever: Peyton Manning at Tennessee, Herschel Walker at Georgia, Bo Jackson at Auburn, played in the SEC; and never played LSU.

I think it was Moscona that just the other day mentioned it was Miss State. I was a bit surprised, would have guessed Ole Miss myself.

Counting tomorrow, LSU will have played Miss. St. 112 times and Ole Miss 107 times.

Since 1945, LSU has played both Miss. St. and Ole Miss every year. This is the 74th straight year that LSU has played both.

The reason LSU has played State a few more times seems to result from the time frame between 1922 and 1935. In those 14 years, LSU played State 12 times but only played Ole Miss 8 times.

LSU has played Alabama 82 times total. The last time they didn't play was 1963, so this year will be the 55th straight year that they have played.

Oddly enough, LSU and Alabama did not play each other at all from 1959-1963 (5 years) or in 1955-56 (2 years). So from 1955-1963, LSU and Alabama only played in 2 of the 9 years.
