Burrow (thought he'd improve some over '18 but never to that extent).

one of my favorite little things this year was watching Shelvin absolutely blow up the guys blocking the punter.

Moss exceeded each and every expectation in all aspects. From blocking to snagging everything thrown his way. This team was full of ballers and he's right near the top of the list.

As hyped and hopeful as I was about Stingley, he put together one of the best true freshman campaigns I've ever witnessed.

Really liked what I saw from Brooks, being able to rush the QB in particular. Came up with some clutch sacks and pressures.

I could go on and on. 2019 was the season we've dreamed about for however long we've personally pulled for the LSU Fightin' Tigers. It will be the year we reflect on from here to eternity and tell the tales to our great grandkids about. Damn it feels good!

Burrow should be the only answer here.

We thought he might be pretty good but anyone who says they were expecting THAT is a liar.

Nobody expected THAT season , but I think we knew he'd be good.
2018 was maddening with all the drops. I remember arguing on the SEC Rant; his percentage was below 50% awhile, but he was actually pretty damn accurate. I thought if we'd correct that issue, he'd be good. And if nothing else, we knew barring injury he was the starter.

Clyde, on the other hand- even the first month of the season we expected him to be replaced. Not a primary back, more of a 3rd down guy, etc. Emery was the preseason favorite, Davis-Price the early season pick. Then he goes and dominates the SEC, led the conference in yds, TDs, and average per carry.

I felt good about Queen, after his first half vs Bama in 2018. Didn't seem to be a big dropoff from White to him.

Going another direction, Delpit was up there near the top as a surprise, too. I know, injuries, but I kinda expected a dominant, All American type of season. I think he got hurt tackling that backup Texas RB (the former QB), and he just didn't look right until the end of the season.

His strength blew my mind. Not even somebody like me who was bullish on Clyde thought he was that strong. My God the Bama highlights make my legs tired thinking about all the bodies he was dragging.

Sullivan and Dillon disappeared because we didn’t sub on offense by design, and had 3 first round picks at receiver

Moss and Clyde surprised me at how much better they got as the season progressed.

Cushenberry surprised me at how much of a leader and how vital he became.

The defense surprised me at how porous they were at times.

Delpit surprised me at how many missed tackles he made due to consistently going for the knees of players instead of making hard clean tackles.

Clyde no doubt. We went from, who is going to be our running back? To who is going to replace Clyde?

Adrian Magee. He played really well beyond my expectations all year long. Was a big part of the o-line winning the Joe Moore award. Helluva job by Coach Craig.

So many to make that season happen.

Stingley, nobody hold possibly expect a true freshman to be that dominant.

The OL was incredible across the board.

LB play exceeded what I thought was practical after losing White.

Hampton late and Flott early surprised me.

Thad Moss was exceptional. I remember the posts asking if he really existed due to all the injuries.

What a year!

Moss- he was like big foot. One of those players it seemed you’d never see play a down in a tiger uniform. Boy did he surprise us all.

Several...

I didn’t know if Clyde had it in him to be the bell cow of the running backs.

After being injured for what seemed to be an eternity, I wasn’t sure what Thad Moss would be bringing to the table.

The offensive line as a unit surprised the hell out of me. After the 2018 season, the play of the offensive line was one of my biggest concerns going into the 2019 season.

Chase surprised me too, but not nearly as much as the aforementioned guys. We started to see glimpses of Chase’s potential at the end of the 2018 season.

Stingley absolutely surprised me. A lot of times kids with that much hype coming in don’t live up to the expectations. This kid exceeded them.

Cade York. Minus a few XP flubs, he was extremely solid in the kicking game.

Jacoby Stevens made huge strides in his role.
