Sitting behind the LSU dugout on third base side. I will never forget the image of Pat Burrell and Alex Cora laying face down on the grass as Morris rounded third base.

Doing drill with my unit.

We had just arrived back from annual training. One of my troops had been tracking the score after we landed and called out updates while everyone waited in the parking lot for rides. I was pretty much on the hook to stay until everyone was gone and Mrs. Midnight rolled in with the gang to pick me up in the 8th inning. I got my stuff loaded and started the drive home. I put on the game and heard 1 or 2 batters prior to Morris. When Morris came up, I told Mrs. Midnight ("He's been hurt most of the year. He got injured during the Olympic trials.") I think it was Hawthorne, but one of the announcers mentioned no homeruns for Morris that season. I said to Mrs. Midnight, "Well, he's due, then." *dink*

I was a nervous wreck pacing in and out of the house all game. Was behind my recliner when he hit it. And is was the day before my son's first birthday!

Sitting on a wooden rocking chair in my best friend from middle school’s living room. I jumped up so fast the chair smacked me in the back of the head really hard.

I sat down for the rest of the celebration and afterwards I confided in him and we laughed about it because he noticed I was sitting down.

At a baseball game at Wrigley Field. I think it happened on the walk from the stadium to the bar just beyond the outfield. I saw the replay when I went to the bar to get a beer. Awesome Day!

In the living room helping pack furniture into our new house. My brother and I would make a load during the breaks and then sit around the radio (that was left by a sheet rock crew) to listen. I scarred a knuckle and the LR fan never really spun right after that. I was just a lad, but remember it vividly.

Lucky enough to be at the game. I was working in Omaha at a country club, and one of the members gave me his tickets.

Watching at a friends house here in Ponchatoula. We were watching on his deck BBQing and drinking beer. Neighbors came running out of the houses around screaming.
