In the dome drinking the foam. It was truly epic watching our D-line whip that arse.

Also, to our boys overseas, thank you for being there.

I was 12 years old. Dad was at the game and I was home. First year at a new school. Guy who became one of my best buddies made fun of me every cold day that fall for wearing my Purple & Gold LSU Starter Jacket. He was a big OU guy.

Watched that game on a 32" box TV in my parents living room. Remember JV busting a big one and then fumbling on the 1 yard line thinking it wasn't gonna be our night. Spears interception. Tigers punting with no time left.

A great night as an LSU fan. Better than 2007 and just under 2019. Wore that jacket proudly the rest of that winter! LSU was finally on the map and has never left.

In the dome then bourbon. Woke up clothed with two chicks in the other hotel bed - fail. I think they got locked out and I gave them a place to stay. Lucky I still have both kidneys.

That first JV run was epic.

WTF

In the quarter at a Jackson square establishment with a group of lifelong friends and Tiger fans. We were all in our early 20s and couldn't afford tickets yet, (most of us anyways,a few managed to get tickets ) but I'll cherish that experience forever. Never thought LSU would be able to play for a National championship, much less, win it in New Orleans! And here we are 18 years later, and have now done it 3 more times! Thank you Lord, for me being born in Louisiana, and therefore blessed to be an LSU Fightin' Tiger fan!

I have been fortunate enough to attend all four games in New Orleans that LSU has played in for the national championship. My son and I felt like we were kicked in the dick against Alabama. I feel like some of the players on our team did not really want to be in that game. That was one of the greatest seasons in college football and we may have went down of having the two best college football seasons ever if we would’ve had A quarterback. I said before that game that the best quarterback on the team was on the sidelines which was Mettenberger. I think he would’ve gave us a good chance to beat Alabama and open up a little running game as well.

I was at the game and couldn't believe we were actually there. After being a student at LSU from 1989-1993, I never thought it would happen.

Also, who the hell is downvoting the guys who said they were in the middle east?

TYFYS to anyone who has served.

Underrated moment from that weekend was TGBFTL playing in Spanish Plaza right before dark on the Saturday night. Everyone talked shite to the OU fans passing back and forth from the Hilton.

The Hilton was their team hotel and the fans heard some shite if they ventured to far away from it.

Same. The whole thing was surreal. It seemed like everyone within 300 miles was in the quarter that weekend going crazy for the Tigers. The OU fans still cry to this day about how horrible they were treated.
