Was in the Dome in the Loge with my brother and brother-in-law. It was frickin’ awesome. After the game we knocked down OU grandmothers, threw some piss balloons and cussed out OU children. Good times! The FQ was crazy!

I remember staying up late in Atlanta after the sec championship watching the game that would decide if we went or southern cal go. Think is was the Hawaii game but I could be wrong.
You are correct. I did the same thing. The party at the Hyatt that night was crazy. Also CSB: my brother and I got on the elevator to go to the room before going back down for the party. As the door was closing two people got in--Vince Dooley and his wife.

Underage at Margaritaville in the Quarter upstairs at the tire swing bar with a bunch of friends from OU (graduated from an OK high school the year before). I was a freshman at LSU and had just finished a rigorous first semester where I made a 1.2 GPA.

I was there, lucky enough to get a Student section ticket in the lottery. Top 5 best nights of my life ever.

was there - a sideline seat but back was against the wall of the Supurdome - last row up. Great memory nonetheless being there.

Was in Tennessee with my Uncle. Not an emotional guy. Lift me in the air and screamed-“We won a national championship, national champions!!!!!” So good, tents on all the streets selling LSU gear in BR for weeks!

Heart of the Tx hill country, Guadalupe River Club bar, in Kerrville. Surrounded by Big-12 fans, wearing purple & gold. Waited along time for that night.

I was at a bar in Jackson Square with a bunch of friends from Shreveport who I had grown up with watching and attending LSU games since we were kids. Most of us were too young and too poor to have been able to actually get in the dome that night. But, spilling out into the quarter after witnessing Saban hoist that crystal ball and thanking the fans from the great state of Louisiana, has to be the proudest moment in my life of sports fandom. I remember telling anyone who would listen, just 2 years before that night, that LSU had achieved the highest attainable goal by winning the SEC and the Sugar bowl in 01'. I truly didn't believe that it was even possible for LSU to finish in the top 2 of the BCS and play for the national title lol. And yet, here we are 17 years later, and have done it 3 more times since that night. And of course, all 4 title games were played in New Orleans.

I wasn’t in The Dome but was in New Orleans all weekend.

Used to have a picture with Peterman outside of Rick’s at what must have been 3 am

Dude was on cloud 9, as we all were

Just in awe that whole weekend that we were playing for a title, and then to win it. Unreal. Best defense of all time imo

It did suck that we were on top of the Oklahoma band and had to hear Boomer Sooner played 5277343434373 times.

Is that the ONLY song that OU band knows how to play? It is so nerve racking... they play it after a TD, first down, turnover, everything that happens in a game and one song.

I was at the game.... was 35

Had a business trip planned for Baku Azerbaijan, so I returned to Abu Dhabi just 3 days after the game. Then flew out of Dubai to Baku after my second day back on the 9th, met my agent, then he proceeded to tell me there was a Cajun restaurant in the middle of the park near the city center. I said no way!

After I was briefed on the business for the next 10 days, we went there late that afternoon for drinks and Cajun food (I was not sure what to expect and surely sceptical). When I walked up to the entrance, there was a sign to the right of the door that said LSU Tigers 2003 National Champions! I was like, what, I was there and that was just 5 days ago plus about 10 hours ahead in time.

The family who owned this place were from near Alexandria and they had been home for the holidays, went to the game, and went back to Baku just 2 days after the game and hung up that sign.
