We decided to pay the money for the LSU tailgate at the Lyric. Figured we can drink and eat our way for the ticket being worth it. Didn't really have many tailgating options.

I have only been to Oxford for the 2022 Ole Miss vs Bama game (Bama won). I think it was 30-40 degrees that day.

Non-biased take - stadium had a great atmosphere. Stadium itself sucks. Grove did seem overrated.

Was not impressed with the Grove. It's small.

it's sort of like a bigger version of the LSU Tailgate Krewes in the Enchanted Forest by the Greek Amphitheater

Stadium isn't anything to write home about.

Small and pretty underwhelming

Oxford is a nice little town but there are a few things to be aware of

there are very few restaurants worth a damn and very few spots stay open late

you will pay a steep cover charge at every bar you go to

there are very few hotels, they fill up quickly so Air BnB or stay in Batesville

Last time I went was 2014 for the baseball series. We just stayed in Memphis. My nephews were just kids, we took them to Graceland. They loved it.

Lodging is insanely expensive on big game weekends. Like 1000$ and up per night. If they even start at 1000.

Anyone have recommendations on where the best options might be to park without a parking pass?

The city of Oxford has done an amazing job of marketing the grove as a unique experience. Honestly, it used to be a unique serene, setting back in the day when Ole Miss still had its old south personality but then the word got out and the crowds ruined it.

The women didn't wear much clothing 10 years ago. I imagine its not very different now.

I have been to Oxford many times and the Grove is really bad arse. It is surrounded by beautiful oak trees and it is very orderly and those people pay a lot of money to set up their tent weekly in the same location. There is no jambalaya or étouffée cooking, and the food is all catered and boring. The women are incredible and nobody touches Ole Miss in that respect, The stadium is like a glorified high school stadium. The worst thing is the hottie toddy chant. That may be the single gayest thing I’ve ever heard at a football game.

We were on the 50 twenty rows up behind LSU bench last year - same tix this year . It was hot AF last year but a couple of Ole Miss fans sitting behind us went to the concession stand during the game and bought bottled water for the wife and I.
