Weather permitting, a drive up to the summit of Mt. Washington is worth the time.
I hiked the summit of Mt. Washington on my AT thru-hike. We hit it on the most perfect day: 45° and zero wind, clear blue skies all around. They said they get maybe four days a year like that.
Incidentally, to the OP, the very bottom of this page has a link "Where to watch LSU." Unfortunately, there are no listings for Portland, Maine, but it's worth remembering for future cities

Take ferry to peak island. Its so beautiful. Record game at home. Freeport has the big LLBean. Eat lobster at a lobster pound, not a restaurant. You lucky dog.

Any other suggestions on must do's?
If you like craft beer, visit Novare Res downtown and take a side trip to Ebenezer's Pub in Lovell. You will not be disappointed.

Edited to add: If you plan on going to Mt Washington, you should eat at Ebenezer's on the way out or on the way back to Portland.

Probably not gonna make it out to Mt. Washington but we are gonna check out Freeport and a few craft breweries. My girlfriend has been living in Portland since August and moves home in December so I'm heading up to visit one time and check out the sites. She said she has a place for lobster in mind, I will have to run this other place by her.

Eventide Oyster Co and Fore Street in Portland are both great.
I'd recommend going to The Lobster Shack in Cape Elizabeth, this is the last weekend that it's open. Cool place and great views.
I wouldn't go to Freeport unless you really like outlet malls.
Back to the original question, there should be plenty of bars & pubs in downtown that have games on.

Drive the 100 or so miles to Boston and watch it with fellow LSU Alumni (lsuboston.com):
We represent the purple and gold EVERY game day at the official LSU bar in Boston: The Baseball Tavern
We are a rowdy group with an LSU football addiction. Attendance is always impressive and we do our best to show everyone around how LSU fans watch games. We bleed purple and gold all over the bar and then we dance in it and wave flags. We also take over the soundboard so there is no shortage of traditional cheers, chants and songs. There is also no shortage of dancing…not in the least.
Directions to the Baseball Tavern
