Few of us are making the trip to Houston for the 8 p.m. game. Where would you guys recommend we stay for the night. Game is in Houston's new facility (The Fertitta Center) located at 3875 Holman Street. Looking for a place after the game to celebrate the victory other than Treasures :) Nice sportsbar, etc. Let me know what you guys recommend in the area on a Wednesday night.

Little Woodrow's on S. Shepherd a few blocks south of I-10 (Shepherd/ Durham exit Shepherd is one-way northbound).

Very LSU-ey environment

UH is on the wrong side of 288/69...if you know what I mean

Your best bet is to stay dtwn...too many 4/5 star options to mention. Take Elgin or Alabama to Scott, you're there.

I booked the Hilton Americas Downtown a couple weeks ago for 70 bucks. It's super nice.

Stay at the Marriot Marquee and if you are looking for a sports bar, Biggio’s is attached to hotel. Place is awesome.

The Marquee is a nice concept and new but they still have a lot of issues.

The service is up and down at times and operational issues. Just last week I and colleagues stayed there. Everyone had multiple night reservations and booked separately. After the first night they had check us all out while we were at meetings. They did correct the problem but it was frustrating having to prove to them that we had reservations for multipul nights.

I have stayed there 3 times (keep giving them chances) and always had some isssue. I stay at Marriott hotels just over 75 nights a year.

They did have Blanton's at the bar.

For good value, Hilton Americas; for shiny-new, Marriot Marquee next door.

Either way, so easy to jump on trolly that goes straight to UH. Once you get off, put your wallet in a safe place and keep your head on a swivel.

Game at Fetitta Center. I'd stay at the Post Oak Hotel. Eat at Mastros or Willie G's.
