Where to park if arriving mid-afternoon?

I attended LSU for a few years. My older brother attended LSU for a single year, and ultimately graduated from Georgia Southern. We live in the Dallas area. Due to work and whatnot, we’re not able to leave until the morning of the game (tomorrow in my eyes since I haven’t gone to sleep yet, but technically today since it’s after midnight.) it all goes perfectly, we could get to Baton Rouge as early as 2. Realistically, we’ll probably get there closer to 3. After checking in to the hotel and dropping our stuff off, this means we should be arriving at campus between 330-4. This late in the day, where can we find a place to park? We don’t mind a far walk if necessary. We’d rather not Uber to campus, as I hear trying to Uber home after a game is a nightmare. Especially considering we will ABSOLUTELY be staying in tiger stadium until the clock hits 00:00. Any help is appreciated. Thanks and GEAUX TIGERS!!

Try Parker Coliseum parking. East side of campus. You should be able to find a spot

Yeah I’m not reading that novel, I stopped at telling us where your brother went to college.

Parker Coliseum is your best bet

Ok let me know what time you’ll be here and I’ll tell you how it’s looking around campus

Aint no way. That lot will be full by noon.
Might be able to scarf a spot by the Rec though.

I think there’s free parking near Alex Box but don’t hold me too it. Don’t park illegal though. Riverside Towing will be on a field day today

If you are staying at a downtown hotel, then take the game day shuttle that runs some of the hotels down there and drops you off right near the stadium. Then they pick up after the game from by the softball park just down Skip Bertman Dr. That would be your best option if staying in that area.

That late in the day, the closest spot will be somewhere near the super dome.

Where to park?
By the time you are arriving it will be quite a walk from any place you can park. For this game I am in the same time frame, and when I cannot get to the campus early I park north of campus, just off Highland Rd. at the corner of E. Roosevelt and Thomas Delpit. Now, understand, this is not the best neighborhood, so I would not recommend this if I were by myself. It is about 6 blocks from the north gate of camput. But, the best part about it is that after the game, it is super easy to get back onto I-10, in either direction. If you park near the levee, it will take 60 - 90 minutes of near standstill traffic to get moving. I am usually almost home in NOLA by then.
Good Luck and GO TIGERS!!

Make sure to keep updating Waze on your phone because inevitably the i10 bridge will back up and you may need to detour. It might be best to come in on 290 and use the old bridge. The hayfields along river road might be your best bet. When you stop for gas go ahead and get some beer on ice so you don’t waste time once in Baton Rouge.

“Sorry we are closed today so you’ll need to pay an extra after hours gate opening fee” -Riverside Towing
But y’all sure as hell open enough to be towing a shite ton of cars though.

Some of the religious student centers on Dalrymple used to have paid parking.
