I'll get downvoted into oblivion but our baseball history is so vast this game is like top 15 or even 20.

I disagree. I’ve been following LSU baseball since Skip arrived in the mid 80’s. Been to several regionals and Omaha twice. Given the seeding, the expectations, and where they where sent, this regional championship ranks extremely high in LSU baseball history.

NCAA baseball history?

Really? Simmer down now. It was the #14 seed losing in a Regional Championship game.

Hope you get to make Omaha trip #3 in about a week.

But off the top of my head:
All 6 championship games.
Texas Gane 1 in '09
Two vs A&M in '89
Two vs CA Irvine in '08
Two vs Oregon St in '17

That's 13.

If we win it all, then last night will be top-10.

Honorable mention: beating State 2/3 in '85. Little did we know what greatness lay just over the horizon.

The 1989 and 2008 LSU teams were tremendous. This LSU team limped to Hoover and lost a series to Oral Roberts. All things considered this was pretty sweet.

A lot of people on here are confusing the importance of the game (yet to be determined) with the entertainment value of the game which I consider one of the greatest ever. Multiple lead changes, close plays, weird ending (balked in a a go ahead run!), 2 HRs by one player, a part time starter getting MVP, home team crowd was loud and wanted it badly, the list goes on and on as to why it was a great game to watch. Very much like two heavy weights slugging it out (okay, welterweights if you prefer).
