Just depends on the route to get there. I think this team playing solid is not an easy team to beat. Just depends on the Super but

I can easily see a scenario where they could slip into Omaha. Honestly feels like Tenn and then the next tier LSU would fall in with many other teams.

Man, the rant is a crazy place

Y’all motherfrickers (as a whole) aren’t bipolar, you’re tripolar

Before the season started: we have the best roster and coach in America

The beginning of the season: hell yea we are really beating up these glorified high school teams.. JJ for prez!!!!

Middle of the season: Jesus Christ Johnson sucks, can’t believe we hired this guy man what the frick is going on

Now: y’all are trying to convince yourselves we are poised for a late season push

It’s almost like y’all shouldn’t rush to judgement because a baseball team isn’t something that can be put together overnight, regardless of the star power on the team

By comparison Tennessee has over 100 HR and over 60 stolen bases. Tennessee’s top base stealing threat has more steals than the entire LSU team. LSU has 12 stolen bases as a team. With LSU’s infield defense and station to station offensive approach I just don’t see us making a long run post season.

The only way the fielding changes is if they leave Thompson in Tuscalooser this weekend

I will say the opposite...

we DO have the bats to come out of the loser's bracket. The further you get from front-line pitching, the harder it will be to knock LSU out.
We could be in big trouble in a 3 game series, but when it comes to a multi-team format like the regionals, SEC tourney, or 1st week of the CWS, the goal would be to avoid an 0-2 elimination. Once you get past the top starters, LSU is going to put up a ton of runs, and it's not limited to one part of the lineup.

I think we make a Super this year.

Unfortunately 2 and Q in a supers. Losing two high scoring games.

I think we have the bats, but not enough depth in our pitching to contend with the best of the best.
