re: Where are all the "it's not the offense it's injuries/execution" posters

That's not all offensive stats, that's a ranking based on yardage. And doesn't really address the post you responded to about Miles' teams setting LSU records for offensive TDs
We've already had a thread on this as well. Nearly every SEC team has broken all-time offensive records since 2005.
Breaking Offensive records says more about the current state of college football as a whole than it does about a specific team.

Now compare won/loss records. How many of those offense giants have better w/l's than LSU. Enlighten us please.
3rd behind Bama and Florida with Georgia almost even with us.
That speaks more to our defense which doesn't really have anything to do with this thread does it? Carry on.

Again, how many have better win/loss records over
that time span?
that time span?

Can you read?
Yes I can read. Just a difference in timing in posts. Don't you understand how this works?

And again this post does nothing to address that your "adding all offensive stats" comment wasn't true.

Yes. And I was responding to someone who asked me a question FIRST. Then I was responding to you. See how that works?

The stats I submitted show a direct correlation to offensive efficiency. Touchdowns are the result of multiple factors on the field outside of just offensive efficiency. We've already covered all this before.

Looks like you are getting a little flustered.
Let be see if I understand the situation.
You claim some offensive explosion in th SEC that is leaving LSU behind. Right?
You claim that 10 teams have set new records in offense, right?
But 7 of those teams have a poored wining percentage than LSU does over that span? Right?
Ok I get your point. Offensive fireworks are better in your view than winning?
If that is tgrue I bet you loved the past season with the saints.

In no way does your stats reflect offensive efficiency, only yards per play.

Wonderful. And since 2005, LSU has been to three SEC title games and won two. LSU has also appeared in two national title games and won one. Let's list the SEC teams to do each:
Three SEC titles games: Bama, Florida, Georgia, LSU
Two SEC titles: Bama, Florida, LSU
Two BCSCG appearances: Florida, Bama (3), LSU
One national title: Florida (2), Bama (3), Auburn, LSU
So, LSU's lack of offensive output hasn't really hurt the program. I'd like for it to be better, and I do think the big issue is execution (but doesn't that go back to coaching?), but arguing that LSU has been this black hole that's barely been getting by isn't really supported by facts. Even without many yards, LSU's done pretty well in SCORING offense (mainly due to some pretty awesome special teams and defensive scores).
I couldn't care less if we rank 50th in yards gained, so long as we win. I like the move, but I also don't think gaining lots of yards is an end to itself. It's about scoring points and winning games. Which, honestly, we've been pretty good at.
Cam's biggest issues is consistent execution and red zone efficiency. Oh, and having Mettenberger develop some pocket presence.

Uh no. I just know how to stay on topic. Wins/Losses have more to do with many factors other than just offensive efficiency...obviously. Touchdowns are the result of more than just offensive efficiency.
And since we are talking about the offense in this thread, I thought I'd focus on the actual driving force of an offense...offensive efficiency.
I can't believe I'm having to defend our average national offensive ranking of 76th in the nation over the last 5 seasons...
What has the rant become?

I blame CFBstats.com for creating all that false data since 2005.

Ok, I'll bite. Are you in favor of the Cam Cameron hire? Yes or No
And why?
It sounds like there are alot of goons in here that think the offense is JUST FINE.
