I’m watching BYU and Ok St and it had me thinking. Tried looking it up and didn’t see anything. Anyone know?

Yep, quick google says that ended in 2010. I remember bc we always go to my wife's family for Thanksgiving. Always watched it there.

eta. gave credit to wrong dude. @bestbank had it right. Wiki:

The game was usually played on the Friday after Thanksgiving, but this changed in the 2014 season when Texas A&M was scheduled to play LSU on Thanksgiving. Arkansas is now scheduled to play Missouri during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Many LSU fans were glad for the change, but i hated it. No work, a fridge full of leftovers, and the only game on. I think i did the Black Friday shopping thing one time, but i was out at 5 am and back home before 11 am.

LSU definitely used to play Arky on Black Friday. I remember because in 2007 my parents had their house up for sale but had already moved into the new house. I was a sophomore in college and I threw a party in the recently vacated house on Thanksgiving night. I vividly remember listening to LSU lose on the radio while I was cleaning the place up the next day. Left pissed off because I thought the season was toast

Who? Name them!

Wait, what change? Arky for aNm or not on Friday? I wasn't a fan of either.

Likely Arkansas because that was a tradition for Friday after Thanksgiving for many years. Other than that Friday college games were basically never on Friday but recent years and now do have a couple of Friday games every week as well as Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Arkansas at 1:30. It was awesome. It gave me a reason to leave thanksgiving lunch to go get ready to tailgate.
