When will we get back to DBU?

In recent light of DB conversation on "What happened to DBU?", I thought I'd share this video of the 2011 secondary featuring Eric Reid, Tyrann Mathieu, Ron Brooks, Brandon Taylor, Mo Claiborne, and Tharold Simon.

Corey Raymond's association with DBU performance appears to be mythical.
But Steeples and Cooks look like imposters, as well.

DBU was alive and well before Corey Raymond became the DB coach. Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, Eric Reid, Morris Claiborne, Brandon Taylor, Craig Loston, Tharold Simon....all Ron Cooper guys. Corey Raymond merely continued a legacy that already had very firm roots.

Personally I don't think Kelly will recruit at that clip. I'm not saying this as a negative. Just saying that I think Kelly hires coaches based purely on schematics ability snd doesn't worry as much if they're ace recruiters

This is not going to be popular, but it is crazy to think we had Stingley, Ricks and McGlothern on this team in 2021 and lost 7 games. With the exception of maybe Denver Harris, no one on the roster approaches that level of pure talent.
Then again, I don't think we have any one the roster that wants to be here less than they did in 2021 either.
