the only years I recall absolutely no QB rotation was 2005-2006 with Jamarcus Russell, the eventual #1 pick

there may have been none in 2009, but Jefferson was so bad I dont remember

is using multiple QBs truly part of Les' philosophy? Or does he feel it's been necessary in the years he did it? I'd hate that it would take the #1 overall pick for Les to have enough faith in just 1 QB

It's Coach Miles decision plain and simple. He went with what worked. The team only lost one game which happened on Jan.9 2012. So,it worked for the most part.

Wanna bet? Randall will have an option package this year.

agreed

and what concerns me is the 2 different types of QBs we have on the roster. 2 pro style, dropback passers in mett and rivers and 2 runners in randall and now liggins

liggins and randall may develop into polished passers, we'll see, but it's almost as if Les has purposely recruited to run a 2 QB system. i dont like having to have basically 2 completely different offenses

it did

but in that case you had a 5th year senior and great leader and a truly elite talent in perrilloux

that combo is rare

IDK about liggins, but Randall's arm is pretty impressive. Accurate and strong.

In 2007, Flynn was the guy. Perrilloux rarely played unless the game was out of hand or Flynn was hurt. Sure they had a package here and there, but it wasn't anything close to a "dual QB" system.

Les failed to use two QBs in the National Championship game when virtually every coach would have put in the second string QB. The team can't always win despite Les' poor decision making.

perrilloux saw pretty significant time in the florida game in 2007. the rest was pretty insignificant, yes

and logan, randall has a gun, but he isnt anywhere near polished

The question is when will we use 1 and only 1 GOOD QB again! We used 1 and only 1 not so good one the last 5 games!

That's not a rotation, it's a specialty package. No different than playing Ware or whoever in the Wildcat, like everybody and their brother has been clamoring for for two years.

2 qb's haved helped us, if we did not have perriloux we would not have won nc, and two helped us this year. texas wished they had two against bama 3 yrs ago.
we as fans just going to have to let the coach decide when & who he plays

When will LSU have a losing season? I don't care how many QB's we use as long as the winning continues.

next season with Mett. After he leaves we may go back with 2 QB's getting playing time if we don't get another big time QB before he leaves.

Do people not realize the limits we have had the past few years at the QB position? We have used 2 QBs because we had to to get enough productivity.

We wont have to the next 2 seasons. It will be ALL METT.
