Bama when they locked up the West in October. Even still, LSU wins that year if Lee doesn’t shite the bed and throw 4 picks.
ETA: It was 2008

At least in 2018 we were ranked #3 after beating Georgia and we had played Bama close at home the last few times before. I would say it was reasonable to assume we could win that game until we saw our offense a few times in that game.

After thinking about it, it's happened more recently than I'd like.
Bama 2016, 2017. Auburn 2014, 2017. Arkansas 2014.
None of those will compare to Saturday though.

We lost 29-0 and it wasn’t even that close
We finished #6 which is nice but there was quite clearly a MASSIVE gap between the teams that finished 1 and 2 and everyone else

Lol at the Auburn responses.
Pretty sure we were actually favored last week
The closest was probably Bama in 17 or UF in 2008.
Other than that I felt LSU has always had a chance to win every game they played since prior to 2000

2012 South Carolina
We lost to Florida the previous week, and the injuries/ player issues were mounting. We'd already lost Chris Faulk and Blue to season-ending injuries before UF, then lost Williford in the UF game, and Hurst quit during the week. So we were down to 2/5 of our season starting OL, and had to go against their DLine that featured Clowney and another NFL type DL.
I legit had no idea how we'd score. Also, SC was undefeated and ranked in the top 10 (they finished 11-2 and #7).

November 6th 1993 3rd or 4th year of the Curley Hallman era. I rarely looked forward to watching them in the early 90's.
Pigs flew that day though.
