It will 100% be Ole Miss, Mississippi State and A&M for our permanent opponents.
100% prediction should come with a ban if you are wrong. Which you will be.
When the SEC makes these decisions what do you think they will look at?
I suspect they will keep most of the cross-divisional rivalries, so that is Florida for us. Ole Miss is one of our traditional rivals, they are one of the few that we have some sort of trophy for.
The last one will come down to what the SEC is invested in. That big dumb Boot trophy (which I actually kind of like

I think they will get pushback from Bama about making LSU a permanent if they have Auburn and Tennessee as well. I think it will come down to Arky and aTm. I feel like the SEC still want to have the LSU/aTm thing. But we will see.

Tennessee has ONE good year in the last 25 years but they’ll be “tough permanent?”
The highest viewed college football games most years is LSU vs Alabama. Why would the SEC and TV networks give that up?
Such a good point. TV and money will dictate the new SEC setup. They aren't going to throw away huge money making games for the sake of geography. LSU, Ole Miss, Miss State, and Arkansas might make sense but it doesn't make cents. The SEC/Networks don't give a damn about a map. By god they'll find a way to keep their precious rivalries. They'll talk about a desire to keep the traditions but it all comes down to $$$.

I believe it has already been leaked/announced that it will not be pods. Individual teams will have permanent opponents and the rest will rotate.
LSU will almost certainly have Ole Miss. The other two are a guess.

The pod thing is not happening. That was determined 6 months ago.
Ross Dellenger said the top 8 teams will play 2 top 8s and 1 bottom 8 annually and play the other 12 teams every other year. Vice versa for the bottom 8. That’s if they go 9 games.
It probably will be Ole Miss, Texas A&M and either Florida or Alabama. You can downvote away all you want, but that’s probably what’s happening. They’re not doing pods. Stop with the pod ideas because they’re not happening.

If anyone thinks that the SEC is going to allow the revenue and TV interest in LSU v. Bama NOT happen every year...then you don't understand todays college football at all.

You aren’t understanding this. It’s not from our perspective but from Alabama’s. They will not make Bama play:
LSU, Auburn, Tennessee. When these three programs are good that would be the hardest group of permanent opponents in the conference by far

Alabama, Florida, and Auburn, I’d imagine. LSU’s biggest foes, IMO. They aren’t going to lose out on that LSU-Alabama ratings, especially with Kelly establishing a winning culture and fielding an elite squad going forward.

You overestimate the impact of 3 “top 8” perennials.
Let’s say it goes according to the report and LSU has 2 top 8, 1 bottom 8 every year. To fill in the remaining 6 games will take either 3 top and 3 bottom or 2 top and 4 bottom, as there are 6 other top and 7 other bottoms.
The end result is in a given year, LSU will play 4 top and 5 bottom OR 5 top and 4 bottom, as long as the scheduler is able to balance those for all teams.
Should Alabama have 3 permanent top opponents, it simply means that for all 4 years if the rotation, they’ll have 5 top and 4 bottom.
So the difference is 0.5 games per year. Not that much, really. I’d be more worried about balancing the overall schedule vs permanent opponents from a competitive standpoint.

Alabama will not want to play Tenn lsu and auburn as perm opponents every year.
