re: When Kelly snapped at Cauble, I didn’t realize it then…..

I think the first time I really questioned whether BK would ever have success was when he absolutely berated Ramos, THE KICKER, going off the field a few years ago. It was a huge WTF moment for me at the time.

His problem, I believe, is he’s never had to coach SEC players before and his demeanor and dickhead my way or the highway style doesn’t fly with 18-22 year olds in the south who didn’t attend catholic schools with 4.0 GPA’s their whole lives. For the first time in his coaching career, he’s in the south coaching/controlling the kind of young men you find in the south and the SEC, and you have to have the ability to connect with them in order to gain their respect. Miles was like the father that most of them never had. O was a wild and likable intense coach who was like a father to many of them. Saban was very involved in coaching them up to teach them and he preached processes. He got in their faces and demanded results but he backed that all up with results and bettering their draft stocks so they listened.
Kelly is a dickhead who yells and gets in their faces but do you ever really see him teaching anything? He relies on his staff to do that and he acts more like a company CEO - out of touch with reality and in his own bubble - who blames those under him for his failures.
Kelly does not fit at LSU or anywhere in the SEC. His arse needs to go yesterday.
pretty much all of this

I'm not sure what "done" means
He's effectively a dead man walking. He has a physical presence on the sideline but that's it. He done, man.

Kelly has been on cruise control since he landed in BR......100mil guaranteed!

DeBoer and Elko will make him look real bad.
Possibly.
That being said, despite playing like shite…the team has two losses by one score on the road against top 10 teams.
I mean, A&M struggled with Arkansas. Then again, we may as well when we play them later.
My point is that a win next Saturday is going to be a huge pivot mentally. A loss, and the wheels may come off totally.

Kelly's eye for things is not what it once was. He kept talking about "being bullish" on this O-line saying they were gonna be really good and that he has coached a long time and seen a lot of O-lines and what really good O-lines look like. The O-line has been poor. It started off decent in pass protection, but now looks awful. They also have had a ton of dumb penalties.
After yesterday, Kelly knows he is screwed. The Sloan/Hankton OC show is a disaster, the O-L coach needs to go, the skill positions are underperforming (though the RBs had some nice long runs yesterday) and the D is suspect against good teams with true dual threat QBs. Our punt and kick return game has been a big disappointment too considering the talent there. No gigantic plays.

True.
My problem is, look at all the frustrating games. We are at this make or break point for him.
He doesn’t deserve another good roster. Screw him.

I said it at the time. It was a legitimate question and Kelly knew it. That is why he was being so defensive about it.

BK doesn’t care. He’s got the money and figures if he wants to coach again he’ll be able to.

A man with character, principles and a competitive nature is not happy walking away like that.

Some people care about legacy and developing young men. Some care about money and ego. BK is the latter.

Nobody likes to talk about it but Kelly and Sloan went after Underwood hard...they knew.

Kelly's done. He can't hide it. He is a small time coach. Grand Valley, Central Mich, Cincinnati. He's over his head in the SEC
Isn’t Grand Valley that college Thornton Melon attended in Back to School?

I think after the UF game, he finally had an epiphany. It’s not going to work out.
