When we won in 2019, I wrongly assumed Woodward would piggyback the 1908 title and raise another flag. Missed opportunity.
I think it would best be done in tandem with our next national championship as opposed to just raising a 1908 flag on a random year.

I completely agree. LSU should claim it, the NCAA already acknowledges us as co-champs.

1908 indeed. LSU got blackballed by Tulane and Grantland Rice ala Dick Vitale style yet the SIAA cleared LSU of any wrongdoing.
In’35 we lost 3-2 in bowl game after a champ was usually named at regular season’s end.
I’d certainly claim 08. Maybe 35.

If a recognized authority does, you claim it, not just some random computer rating system. The AP poll champion was still recognized as a legitimate title at the time in 2003.

Just for the sake of accuracy, Bama's claim of 347 National Titles, counts only from the Reformation forward. Earlier titles are deemed tainted...

Agreed. I think its important to differentiate between "legitimate" and "deserved." That is absolutely a legitimate Bama title, even if completely undeserved.

As I said, since each team beat the other, objective models give LSU the nod because of strength of schedule and conference championship
