When is LSU finally going to claim their rightful 1908 NC?

Just doing a little more research on it and what a shame that a baseless claim with no proof whatsoever of LSU using ringers by a journalist denied the school of it, and still LSU is scared to claim it, even after being cleared of all wrongdoing.
The NCAA recognizes it, and the claims were completely fabricated, yet LSU still won’t claim it. It boggles the mind. That team deserves their recognition for a super year. Right is right. Claim it, and hoist the flag.

I’ve been saying it’s time to pull a Bama and put the 5th flag up. You know those SOB’s would do it and it’s a legit championship.

There is absolutely zero excuse not to claim it. That was one of the most dominant teams in CFB history. I also wish we would claim 1936, as that is another clearly legitimate title, IMO.

I get the concern for sure, but I think Bama just claims anything the NCAA will allow them to. 1908 is a more legit title for LSU than the vast majority of Bama's titles. There's no reason not to claim it.

1936 isn’t legitimate at all. We lost to Santa Clara in the sugar bowl. 1908 is legit however

Titles were awarded before bowl games at that time. Santa Clara shouldn't have anything to do with it.

It’s not though. It’s not some championship voted on by the State Times/Morning Advocate or other local rag. It’s completely a legitimate title. It’s like denying 2019 LSU their national championship because Bubba Gump wrote an article in the Tennessean saying Burrow was a ringer. Complete bullshite, and proven to be complete bullshite, but gutless people afraid of being labeled pulling a Bama have denied one of the greatest LSU teams ever their National Championship.

I normally don’t give a shite about things like this, but yes, I’m wondering what the deal is with Tate and Woodward. We should have already claimed 1908. Put the stone marker up in the NC circle in front of Tiger Stadium.

1936 will never be claimed. That’s a fact. 1908 has a very small chance but probably not

1908, 1935, 1936, and 2011 should all be claimed. They’re all recognized by at least one body/publication.

That’s not what’s going on here though. 1908 is legit because it’s recognized by the National Championship Foundation as well as the NCAA.

If someone names you national champions you take it. USC has run with 03 even though they didn’t play in the title game.
