1987 first CWS appearance, watching on TV
Spring 1991, I was a student, first time I ever went to The Box. Had a class with Harry Berrios and was a group partner with him. Great guy and we would sit in RF corner and talk with him between innings

1986 or so. We used to go to a lot of games when I was growing up.

1989’when I went to skip Bertman baseball camp
They let us play rag ball on outfield
If you hit one over the fence towards Nicholson you had to go get it.
I thought I was Albert belll or Lyle Mouton

In the 90’s my parents got me a radio for my room. One day I stumbled into a LSU baseball game and stayed and listened. I would often check to see if a game was on. We never got to see what the players looked like unless they made it to CWS and were on TV.
Have been a huge fan ever since. Considering that I never played baseball it’s remarkable that it became my favorite sport.

You gave me your grandstand tickets for me and my dad’s first baseball home game maybe 8 or 9 years ago from a thread here.
I’d say that’s the first season I started following LSU baseball too.

Skip was hired the month before I graduated. I heard him give a speech shortly thereafter. He sounded like the baseball version of Dale Brown and I mean that as a compliment.
The first college baseball games I attended were the regionals at UNO that we won to go to the CWS. I have been going ever since.

Big Ben years were some of my earliest memories of when it started. But the ‘91 Championship run was when I got hooked!

Mid 90’s. The guy that ran the concession stand where my kids played ball always had a portable tv that he watched while he grilled. I was hooked right away. Never got to go to a game until we moved to Baton Rouge in 2004.

Mid-late 80’s I loved Big Ben

My dad had the “family pack” of season tickets back in the mid to late 80’s. 2 adult and 2 kid tickets, I think he said it was $35 for the whole season. He decided to cancel them when they went up to $65 for the season. I still have memories of sitting in a fairly empty grandstand at the old box as a young kid

Mid 80s. Was pretty damn cool seeing it all take off from there.

Birth. LSU and the saints sucked at football growing up and all we had was baseball. LSU is and always will be a baseball school to me.

First time I think I was aware of LSU baseball was 97, but too young to appreciate it. Truly became a fan watching the 2000 championship game with my dad.
