Losing to Napier 2024 with half of their team out. Bad loss. “Won” me back after the last 2 games and bowl game.
Transfer portal and donating his own money had me believing again. I was done as I watched a very average TAMU (much like 2024 Bama) beat our brains out in DV. I knew it was over just didn’t think we would pull the trigger this quick.

when he kept choosing to take the ball first in big games and not doing anything opening possession.

i am not kidding. that annoyed me so much.

2nd half of A&M last year was when I really started to doubt. They had no answer for a QB change, and we found out afterwards they didn't prepare for Reed at all during the week. Letting Milroe do the same thing after a bye to fix it cinched it for me.

I stayed on the Kelly train longer than most. The 2023 defense gave me real pause but I was willing to give him time to fix it. When I saw glaring holes on special teams 2022, defense 2023, offense 2025, I knew this was never going to amount to championships. Last week’s game was the straw that broke the camels back and the entire fanbase was on the same page. No one was ever going to be back in BK’s corner. We had to fire him.

From Day 1, I thought the hire of CBK was because there was no one left. I didn’t like it. Then, he went on to win 10 games and to SEC championship game. I was now ok with it. Looks like the lipstick wore off the pig.

I started questioning things last A&M game. Blowing a lead like that, regardless of A&M making an adjustment, just started to make me realize we (those who thought BK was a home run hire) might be wrong. He just could not put the pieces together.

Take the 23 with our current D and we would no doubt win a national championship, which is what we were waiting for. But, he just could not do that, even though you can now literally buy talent.

It's 10000% the USC game. I can't blame him for anything the first couple seasons. But having 8 months off in your 3rd year against a VERY VERY VERY mediocre USC team with a beyond mediocre QB who got benched in the middle of the season who dominated you regardless. I didn't say it at the time, but looking back at his now full tenure, that was when I knew he was not it.

The table fist pound was the first moment I realized we made a mistake. I had some hope this offseason because of the roster but I had a fear of coaching falling short.

I honestly did not expect him to be fired Sunday though. I thought he’d get one more year to show some balance.

This past Saturday when the team quit on him.

Then the fair-weather fans that have been bitching since he got here were joined by other delusional fools that still think its 2019.

NEWSFLASH - NIL and the Portal has spread the talent all over the country making everyone better. It is NOT the same landscape that Les or O or even the Almighty Saban dealt with. Everything has changed. Its 1000x harder.

My fear is, no future coach will ever satiate the ignorant delusional fans that cheer for LSU and expect a championship every other year.

Lots of people will say things like the accent and fit but I never cared about any of those things and no one else did either after he beat Bama. None of those things matter if you are winning and the fact was he didn’t win enough.

When did I lose faith? Probably this year. Most of us didn’t have access to the info relative to his work ethic or lack of one so I felt for the most part that we didn’t have the talent. I knew we were limited on NIL and was willing to be patient while that built up. I was even optimistic when he did the NIL match. Once he had the best portal haul money could buy and it still wasn’t working, I felt like it never would.
