Didn’t even waiver after the Troy loss? I’ve always rooted for him to succeed, but I can’t imagine any LSU fan not questioning if he was going to work at LSU after that game.

I supported the hire. As a fan, it’s my job to support every coach until they prove undeserving. I supported Miles to the end as that was for someone else to decide.
Only coach I do NOT accept is CPM. He’s not the man for LSU.

The day he was hired. You, like many nega Tigers, think you have some special insight or right to accept or reject our Coach. You created bad energy. All you had/ have is an over inflated sense of self importance because you don’t know shite, and underestimated O from the beginning.

Day 1. I was one of the few and defended him throughout.

I said from the start, give him a chance. He is our coach, he will prove he is worthy or not.

Look at all these people lying saying day one in this thread

Early in the year when he stayed true to his word a changed the offense, when was I sold? The night he beat bama

After the Texas game. He didn’t make that offense go into run mode to protect the lead. He let slinger and Joe keep the pedal down to the floor

No, I did not.
Ignorance plagued this board then. You have to put things in perspective. We had OL injuries, OL suspensions, a new staff, and a lot of green-ness at that time. Those games are traps. Yes, we should always beat a team like that. No, it was not as big a surprise as many of the O haters made it to be.

It wasn’t just the Troy game though. That season started out about as horribly as possible for a new coach.
Got destroyed by Mississippi State
Looked God awful against Syracuse
Lost at home to Troy
Have to give credit to Orgeron for not letting the entire season tank after that

When I heard about the binder.
Ok really when saw how he was going about hiring coaches.

When did you accept coach O as the HBC?
When he held that first recruiting class together and reaffirmed when he fired Canada

That is such a lie for most Tigah fans.

As depressing as that was, many of us viewed that as an aberration and simply a stepping stone in the direction of success. Had seen almost an exact copy of that in Saban's rise, except this Troy team was actually good and a veteran team than manhandled our front line. Knew O would not allow that to continue, from his history as a tough D line coach.
When Kiffin didn't come to LSU, thanks to Saban being scared of that combination, it concerned me that we get the right guy at OC. Took a little while but I always believed that O would keep looking until he found the right fits at all positions. Knew he could recruit with the best of them and knew that he would outwork almost all others, including Miles whose laissez faire recruiting style had cost us several big LA recruits.
And, WE STILL COMING!
