OJ openly acknowledged his mistakes in his parole hearing that other day, that doesn't mean I would hire the guy

Because his point is backed up by the facts of O's record, and no other P5 school in the country wanting to hire him as HC or DC?

When I realized it was inevitable & if we had to fire him in 3 years the next coach would inherit a stacked roster.

There are things I worry about O, but his time at OM is not one of them
so would you hire someone in any profession who has failed miserably in his only other opportunity? sounds like you would

I preferred Fisher. But who else would've been better then a man who LOVES LOUISIANA and understand the fans of LSU more then a fan himself with tha background he has

He;ll get carried off the field by fans and get fired 4 regular seasons games later. Precedent has been set.

Maybe a man that isn't a failure as a HC. Just a thought. I love Louisiana, and I understand LSU fans, should I apply when O gets fired?

These same folks - or there peepaws and meemaws and chers - elected Edwin Edwards 4x as governor.

CEO is their godsend.

I don't know where this O/LSU love narrative came from. He turned down a job at LSU to work at Tennessee, and then USC.

I can think of about 10 coaches right off the bat.
Remind me of all of the LSU/Louisiana "understanding" Dinardo, Saban & Miles had? I'll answer for you: none; it's freaking irrelevant.

What's funny is you think the fans hired him or had anything to do with hiring him. The fact is we have an awful administration which is why they couldn't land a big name coach. Ppl think talent + SEC= any coach would jump at the job but that's not what attracts coaches. Nobody wants to come here and work for/with Alleva or Alexander that's why we have coach O.

I think Alleva and Alexander saw a chance to be in control, also. A HC with a big ego wouldn't have given into them the way that O will, seeing as he wasn't getting any offers from anywhere else.
