I recall my first game when I was 6. LSU vs. Nebraska and a 6-6 tie.
But in 1977- when I started to go to all the games; it became fun.
And in 1979 after USC it became my 'life'.....
Have had the same family seats on East side 20 year line since the 1940's or 50's......
Can't imagine living in Baton Rouge and not making LSU football a part of my life.

My dad took my brother and me to see LSU and Bama play at Tiger Stadium in 1971. (Bert Jones became a football hero.) I became a fan then and have been for life. Bama did win by 7, but it was a great experience.
It became even more a part of my life for more that just sports when my son started school in 2007.

Grandparents started taking me to games when I was a kid.
My first game was against Florida St when it rained oranges.

Back around 93, I went to my first game against Arkansas on some free tickets my brother got from his work. I was around 12 at the time.

The worst was when I was 16-24 though. Losses would ruin my entire w/e and most of the next week. I get over losses fairly quick now.
Exactly the same for me. My family and girlfriends prayed for LSU victories.

Age 6 or 7. When I realized I loved our season ticket neighbors and tailgate friends as much as my family.

Same here. Then the g/fs would make it worse by saying "it's just a game"

Something I was born into. But going uga 2003 and my first road game to the SECCG in 2003, pretty much sealed the deal.
Uncle and a few of his lsu friends all went in a van to Atlanta. Slept in the van and just did our thing. I remember brushing my teeth in the parking lot by the CNN building. Fan fair was the best I've ever been to. I was like 13 and they asked me to go like 2 days prior. For a young teen, couldn't have asked for a better time.

The single worst thing that can be said after a loss.

When I was a kid and realized how important it was to my family,I knew it must be important for me.

Alexander’s record-breaking year in 1977, in which he ran away with LSU’s single-season rushing record, was highlighted by four big individual performances in which he ran for 237 yards against Oregon, 231 against Wyoming, 199 against Tulane and 183 against Vanderbilt -- all LSU wins.

USC 1979. Kid from Maryland going to school in Louisiana. Always liked LSU growing up. That night turned my heart forever.
