missed on matt canada and admitted his mistake and turned it around so why cant he admit he missed on peetz and turn this around? It seems he cant scapegoat anymore and he has to take responsibility. What if next year is the year where the stars align again?. Lets be patient and give him one more year. Do you really want to start over again and have max learn a new system again?
He sold himself on being the CEO Coach that hires the best coordinators. Considering his hires over the last four years, that isn't true. Since he cannot do what he promised, he's got to go.

O is not a high IQ individual. He ran Canada off, there was obviously a rift there. Reports made it sound like Canada was an a-hole, maybe true, maybe not, who knows.
For O to take shots at Aranda was just stupid. Aranda is not a “rah, rah, rah” type of guy. He didn’t fit the Orgeron mold, and I wouldn’t be surprised if O didn’t try and meddle with his defense.

Ed is a lazy, low-character, immature individual.
Burrow just happened to mask a lot the latent character flaws.
Another year? How long does it take to fill a cardboard box?

He's clearly in over his head. He'll be gone soon enough though.

Hey, it doesn't matter that Les rapped women bring him back Great Coach! Just keep an assistant always next to him who can tell time!

Mike Tomlinson - right now, Hondo.

Canada was a good hire on paper but he wears his welcome out quickly just about every place he was ever in.
O's problems started a few days after the NC game losing Aranda and Brady and the other offense guy. Then compounded by hiring Pelini. But Covid took him out big time. You have Shelvin and Kary Vincent opting out on the defense and JaMarr Chase doing the same on offense. Couple that with recruiting misses at RB and your heir apparent at QB getting hurt. Those are big hits...not sure any coach could withstand them in reality.
Think about it. In 2020 you had to replace and redo everything. You had no O line waiting in the wings and your defense was virtually replaced. Now couple that with horrendous hires at DC and PGC.
Orgeron was toast and he needs to go. Even with a new coach you are talking about a prolonged trek in the wilderness.

The moment he was made "permanent" head coach. From that moment forward his path has lead to this. He has always been a slimy con artist and that never changed.
He just lucked into a situation where the prior coach would not change, the AD at the time was a feckless, snake in the grass, which allowed him to weasel his way in.
He was able to be lucky enough to have Aranda stay on for a few years, for Ensminger to bring in Brady for one season and managed to have an incredibly bright and talented QB in the transfer portal that he convinced to come here.
Once all those components left, he had no one to cover for his antics and the people that made the engine run went pro or got jobs elsewhere.
He never has and never will have the skill-set to run a CFB program effectively and with longevity. As long as he has been in coaching he has never developed that and it won't happen now.
Without other, much smarter coaches to ask what to do, he has no ideas on his own. You think he came up with whatever BS was in the binder that he sold to Alleva? If it was of any substance, it was probably something he plagiarized from at Pete at USC.

Y’all still don’t realize how good that 2017 recruiting class was, huh
one of the schools best, O did a tremendous job holding it together after Miles was fired while he was in limbo for almost 3 months.

Joe Burrow in 2018 wasn’t nearly as impactful to the results as he was in 2019.
you think we beat Auburn and UGA with the other QBs we had on the roster? That's the difference between 9-3 (good season even got an access bowl top 10 finish) and 7-5 unranked.

Once he started losing head coordinators and assistant coaches...hiring BO was a big mistake...I didn't like him the first time he was here...

When Dave Aranda and Joe Brady left and Ed couldn't hire replacements of the same level.
Ed recruits and fires people up. He never claimed to be a football genius.
He said he would hire the best coordinators to make up for it. (The Binder)
We assumed he could identify and hire the best coordinators. Which obviously he can't.
At this point Joe Brady is the exception and not the rule and Les hired Dave Aranda.
Ed's downward spiral started then.
This is all very simple. Ed Orgeron still does everything well that he did before. He just also still can't do now what he couldn't do then.
His girlfriends, and Black Lives Matter and COVID are just BS red herrings that people want to use to rationalize this fundamental principal.
Ed Orgeron is good if his assistants are good. If they aren't, he can't fix it.

You do know there are more options than Les and Ed?
FTR, I didn't make any claim about Les. Try to keep up.
