No chance. Good fodder. Move on,
Not doubting the poster, but Saban was a known flirter his whole career. He and his agent like the ego and the leverage it creates with current employers.

Logically, I don’t believe it’s happening. He’s getting up there in age and retired for a reason. He has his legacy with the gumps and he has plenty of money. All of those championships.
I would love nothing more than for him to come finish what he started at LSU on a good note.
ETA: I am enjoying the HELL out of the Bama fans I work with beginning to panic over this talk. They’re hearing it too and are starting to worry. “No way he goes back!”
The melt would be glorious and I would revel in every moment of it.

My logic is that he seems miserable being a talking head and still has some gas in the tank for doing more, and a fondness for LSU and helping right the ship.
But like most have said, it seems very unlikely, just enjoying the speculation.

He always had unfinished business at LSU. He’s an incredible competitor that had no idea the LSU job would open up as quickly as it did to even make this a possibility. He may want to give it one last go if the coaching itch is getting to him being so close to everything on GameDay, etc. I wouldn’t put the odds at 0.

Worked when we hired him in 2000!

Who knows if he could win another championship in next 3-4 years but think the melt by Bama fans would be worth it whether he did or not

I just have no idea what will happen nor have any inside information to even begin to speculate on the rumors. He would be my first choice followed by Kiffin.
All I know is that even imagining Saban as head ball coach is extremely fun and this whole coaching search saga is some of the most fun I've had following LSU sports.

Because it’s LSU he is listening to the offer but will turn it down.

LSU will make an offer. That the smoke. And why wouldn’t they. He’ll politely decline.

I don't expect it to happen but man it's fun to imagine

What's your logical Saban take?
Bear Bryant was 69 years old when he retired (and then shortly died).
Nick Saban is 74.

My son is the friend of a guy whose dad is highly connected (trust me bros) and he told his son who told my son who told me that Saban is 100% out.

He's enjoying coaching retirement with the tv gig.

Coming back here and being successful would tarnish is Bama legacy a little
If he pulls off a National Championship again at LSU I think it elevates him above Bama to his own level beyond Bama and Bear. That might be enticing.

He’s really tired of sitting next to Pat McAfee? You can see it on his face.
