"With lyrics about a possum in the pot, it preserves the stereotype that we're all Swamp People."

The possum's in a "sack"; hasn't made it to the pot yet.

Is it possible you're taking things a bit too seriously? Even though not descriptive at all of anything close to modern Louisiana, it harkens back to a "Louisiana" - or least a mythical conception - of what was. Some might even say that the spirit of the fais do do lives on, no?

Anyway, I would be more than happy to trade out all of the piped in music for more GBFTL. In the absence of that swap, I just ask that they stay away from generic stadium rock.

My least favorite tradition--- how there are at least 100K fans who think they are a better coach, talent evaluater, etc than Les Miles.

Sorry, but GFY with this crap. Do you realize you'd probably be able to hear a mouse fart in the stadium if you took the students out of the equation? The student section is probably the biggest reason Tiger Stadium is as raucous as it is.

Nobody wants to get rid of the student section, you little dummy. Many would just prefer they didn't go to great lengths to sound like retarded gang bangers. They are young adults in the middle of obtaining a college degree, but most of the little shits up there act like they discovered their first curse word, and after looking around to make sure mommy and daddy aren't around, they can't seem to get enough of it.

Have you ever seen the 100 and 300 sections before the game compared to the student section?

This past game against Kent State looked half empty in these sections at kickoff. Old people need to get their shite together. And the half that actually does show up just quietly sits there for the first half and bails at halftime to "beat the traffic" because they "live two hours away" and "have to put the two year old they shouldn't have brought in the first place to bed because they have church in the morning."

Here's an excerpt that should make any tiger fan cringe.

"Since 1960, LSU is 201–59–3 (.773) at night in Tiger Stadium compared to a 20–22–3 (.476) record during the day over that span."

Of course, the fact that, in the last 20 years or so, CBS has moved tjhe games agaist the tough opponents to 2:30 probably has something to do with it. But STILL, that's a BIG gap.

I have said it all along...the football game has become a nuisance that interferes with people's tailgating.
