I have to disagree, Jody. I regularly interact with government and regulatory officials and the manner in which this was handled by LSU and Alleva was terrible.

Wade is LSUs employee, not the NCAA’s. You meet with and scope the extent of potential damage with your employee, first. You don’t throw open the doors to the NCAA to hear your employee speak for the first time on an issue, not knowing what he will say about his activities on behalf of the institution you represent. Basic, 101 stuff here and Alleva and F King dropped the ball. Just mishandled on their part.

Alleva need to go for so many reasons. The fact that LSU had this figured out and executed quickly is worth any short term blow back from the vaunted national sports media like Forde, Vitale and Blue Blood Bilas.

LSU is trying to raise money during this major fundraising campaign. Since March 8th, they have received thousands of emails of current, and potential donors complaining about the AD, and F'King. They use them as reasons they are not donating anything to LSU in any way. Heads had to roll, and Alleva's head may not be enough to satisfy the angry mob of Tiger fans. $$$$$$ is the only sound that LSU understands.
