The man is a weak leader & administrator. When comes time stand up for LSU he is unable step with authority. Examples: Florida debacle, Miles situation and lack of management of women's basketball etc.

LSU deserves better than "not as bad as" AD - Jim Corbet.

Bad basketball hires
Our recent run of getting the shittiest bowl game we can get. (Even when other teams with similar records got better bowls)

Here is a short list...

Caved to basketball boosters and hired Johnny Jones.
Botched the Miles removal at the end of 2015.
Swung and whiffed on Nikki Caldwell and Trent Johnson.
Announced PAtrick Murphy as softball coach before the deal was done (though he did seem to backdoor into a great hire in Torina).
Failed to keep us from playing on thanksgiving day.
Failed to gather support to remove permanent cross divisional opponents.
Failed to get any home night games for 2 straight years.
Got played like a fiddle by Foley with the 2016 Florida game.

Oh and has he ever apologized for royally screwing over the Duke Lacrosse team?

The guy sucks. At everything. He has shown no ability to manage a process and get the desired outcome.

he has helped renovate our Facilities, including Tiger Stadium with interior renovations on the way. He tried to fire Les last November until the F King fiasco.

So he used money the football program brought in under the leadership of a guy he didn't hire and actually tried to sabotage and eventually fired.

He road the coat tails of an already established basketball program and now football program.

While not as bad as Duke, he's now had pr disasters at both schools for different reasons.

He also backed his buddy the baseball coach at Duke when he was caught giving his players steroids.

It's the internet, everyone hates everyone and has no problem talking about it because they are sitting behind a keyboard.

Charging people $40 a game to tailgate screwed up his first impression with me.

its a program with few donors and that's who they wanted. If people don't like it perhaps they should support the program more so we don't have to shop in the bargain bin for guys like Johnny.

if it weren't for political bullshite it would have been a very successful coup. That blood is on the hands of Alexander.

Both were viewed as good if not great hires at the time.

No Sankey did. What in the hell did you want Joe to do? Make Florida stop acting like a bunch of spoiled children?

Your list sucks

• Not Firing Johnny Jones after last season.
• Whatever that BS was with the fake firing of Miles Last season.
• Letting the SEC Office walk all over him over the Florida game this year.

Joe offered everything under the sun to get that game played, don't blame him for a limp dick commissioner that failed to intervene. Letting the SEC walk over him would have been agreeing to buy out South Alabama and going to Gainesville that weekend.

He's probably the weakest AD in the entire conference. Foley not only just took him to school but made LSU look like the villain. The SEC walks all over us constantly.

He waited too long to fire Miles, after extending him instead of telling him to walk to Arkansas. And then he let F. King override him on the firing decision. Stand up for yourself man! He hired Johnny Jones to appease the old guard. Everyone knows he's about to screw up the football hire... he has yet to hire a single decent coach.

I don't understand how anyone could think he's doing even a passable job.

Props to him with the Football program, but he has more work to do to fix Basketball and Swimming. Time for some change all around Joe.

If you can't convince your boss to do the right thing for the school or at least not embarrass the shite out of you publicly, you need to find another job.

What a lot of epic fail here.

1) Johnson and Caldwell were great hires on paper. Can't argue either of those at the time.

2) The MIles saga was not on him, that was on people above him.

3) He went out and got one of the top 3 softball coaches in the country to agree to come here. Not his fault the guy backed out of the deal.

4) He kept us from playing on Thanksgiving day at home....hard to control what the other school does when it is their home game.

5) The cross-divisional opponent thing was never going to win. He fought for it, but only had a couple of other AD's on board. If you are Mississippi State, are you going to vote against something that guarantees you to play Kentucky instead of Florida every year?

6) Not his call on day vs. night. IF CBS wants you at 2:30, you get 2:30. Beyond that, almost every single LSU game has been at night if it isn't on CBS.

7) Foley played the SEC, not Alleva.

Now go play in traffic.

All these and others are instances of "having a seat" on the big LSU bus. Alleva & King are just riding the LSU institution - "riding easy"

I personally liked his approach and sorta told Florida and the Sec to suff it. Yes it has a chance to blow up in our face but that is a very small chance. After Sankey and Foley failed to act he treated them that way.

Exactly! Many people think he can wave a wand because he's at LSU and dictate things like TV times, sec/ncaa issues, etc.

Just like politics!

If you dont listen to your constituents then you are not doing your job and you will get replaced

Alleva doesnt listen to the Alumni and Boosters who pay for the football program. He hides under K. Alex, and the GOV.

The Boosters will get rid of him, watch and see
