This, I've heard rumors they have a tiger cub (kitten?) already and we're waiting for the vet to clear it for reveal but that was awhile back.

Joe hung up on that tiger, said he's going with a tiger that wants to be here. The gas station tiger at Exxon is one of us and its been his dream gig, with the money saved we're going to assemble the greatest vet staff ever.

Might be something to that rumor, because you won't hear anything official until the tiger is on campus.
I personally am not expecting anything until Jan-Feb at the earliest. It took three months to find Mike VI when it was much easier to obtain a donated tiger from an approved shelter.
I hope there is a Mike VII. After this year in Baton Rouge and with LSU football, we badly need something good to happen.

The live tiger mascot is such a part of history and tradition at LSU, I really hope that F. King is not going to screw with this too. If he does maybe that will be the final straw.
