This kid came in all world and was supposed to be the next great back to don an LSU uniform and he's become invisible. Is he hurt, poor work ethic or bad attitude? I just figured with him being labeled the top RB in the country that he would at least see some quality playing time, but he's nowhere to be found. Just curious!

He's a freshman and apparently hasn't picked up the schemes and blocking concepts. He's going to be very, very good but there's more to playing the position than just running the ball.

If you were really curious you would have searched and seen that there has already been a thread on it today

Just because you are labeled the top RB in the country, doesn’t mean you are going to automatically play.

Maybe, just maybe it's because he's a true freshman and CEH is our starter? My god..

The real story is recruiting rankings don't mean shite when these players get on campus.

Emery is extremely talented but is not ready to be a starter or even the backup

Can we get a sticky or something for all of these "where's Emery" threads?

They don’t trust him yet as much as the others. And it’s not like LSU’s offense is struggling without him at the moment

Freshmen always take a little while to catch on. Plus our scheme has gotten more complicated this year. He wasn’t an early enrollee either. Give him time. He’ll be a stud before he’s gone.

He needs to get stronger and learn the offense, specifically his assignments. Davis-Price isn't a scrub either. Emery will come around, just needs time. Some players are more college ready than others, regardless what they did in HS. Obviously Emery has a lot of physical ability that others don't have, but it's taking him longer to get a good grasp of the offense. But look at Davis-Price, he is now running as the 2nd string back, ahead of Curry, and that is a remarkable feat. And he looks good. That dude runs like Earl Campbell. Can't wait to see him next season, he will be a BEAST!!!

I figured he was struggling with some schemes, but what I didn't understand was he played in earlier games and looked decent and now he's not even in during scrap time. I hope he turns out to be everything he was advertised to be. My biggest concern is the transfer portal. These guys come in and think they are God's gift to football and don't want to work hard and earn their playing time and end up leaving.

You guys have got to give this a rest.

He's fine, just needs to adjust to the college game. It's not some instantaneous process for every HS star.

CEH and TDP are holding it down when he gets up to speed.

He’s fine he just needs to learn he can’t zig zag on guys in college. Once he learns to get north and south he will be great. It’s a learning curve.
