I think he has a good upside and I'd like to see what he can accomplish in a full season without injury. If he had a QB coach/OC that could help him progress, the sky could be the limit. I hope he stays.

He’s by far the best QB on the roster. Why would we not want him to stay?

But I don’t blame him for leaving

He's started 3 games at LSU and for some reason people think he would have been all SEC

Well he was putting up all SEC numbers in those 3 games.

He would have been crushed behind this o line. He's a bit more mobile than Mett. Nothing else.

Max was supposed to be this mobile QB and he’s a statue in the pocket.
And what Brennan may lack in mobility he makes up with quick decisions and a fast release. He would not have been hit as much as Max because Max holds the ball forever.

You mean the guy played almost 3 quarters with a season ending injury and didn’t come out of the game?

Vandy, Moo st and Mizzou

He would have been hit more than Max. Max was better at the beginning of the season and started to regress when Kayshon went down. Brennan is a statue.

He's the best qb on the roster. I don't blame him for wanting a guaranteed starting role though. It's his last shot to shine.

Short of the new coach telling him it's his, he gone.

He was afraid to play in the SEC. He just wants his NIL revenue because his payday is over after college. He will not make it with any NFL team.

He isn’t medically cleared to play.
I hadn’t heard that, but why did he commit to transferring after the Bama game? The timing seemed significant to me.

I hope he finds some good luck but at a new school. He would only muddy the waters here and he is not Joe Burreaux.

He needs to leave and have a decent year at another school. For better or worse Max is the starting QB for the next few years with Nussmeyer on waiting. Next year isn’t going to be much better than this year. It will take a year or 2 to get the talent level back to a competitive level. We need to clean house and start over with guys who want to play for LSU.

What?? What is going on here ??

I’m not so sure. Yes it is definitely possible, but it all depends on who the new coach and OC are and what they want to run.

If they want an pass first NFL offense, Max isn’t the guy. If it’s more a run/read option type offense Max could make it work with the right coaching

The love affair with Brennan is mind blowing.

The love affair with Brennan comes down to one fact…..he is light years better than Max Johnson at doing what we obviously wanted to do this year.

It won’t matter if Walker Howard comes and he’s as good as everyone says he is.
