Its a TIE for me;
The HAIL MARY pass in Arkansas a few years back to kick us out of the SECCG and the Cap. One Bowl Hail Mary to lose that game
SEE THE Resmeblence!!

Of course! The defensive genius who now coaches the gumps lost both of those games. All he had to do was gather the DB's around and say"the only way they can win is throw it long so DO NOT LET YOUR RECIVER GET BEHIND YOU. Hell, I saw it coming and was really not suprised. Saban had his head so far up Huezinga's (sp) butt he couldn't pay attention to the simple coaching matter at hand.

Probably Vanderbilt in 1990. We score on the final play of the game to win, only to have a penalty called on Sammie Seamster. We try the same desperation pass the next play, and of course it falls incomplete. Georgia in 1999 is a close second.

Quite possibly the Ole Piss loss after we beat #1 Florida in 1997.

1998, LSU vs. Kentucky. We were losing the whole game and then with like 3 minutes left, we tied it. But the defense could do nothing, and Kentucky marched down and scored a FG on our arse.
UK 39, LSU 36.
they didnt march down the field. they acted as if they were gonna run out the clock, but pulled some trick play out of their arse to get into fg position. it was a reverse if i remember correctly.

Mile's first game in TS in 2005. We looked awesome in the first half and then couldn't get out of our own way in the second.
Lost in OT.
It wasn't the worst lost (58-3)but the second half let down was too much to handle. It was the only time I left early on my own.

Tennessee game a few years ago when we were rolling at halftime, blew it in the second half and lost in OT.
I was at that one and our team AND our fans were so damn quiet after halftime. We had gotten too comforatble.

Three games come to mind:
2002 - Arkansas game where we blew a lead with less than a minute to play.
2006 - Auburn game. Don't know if that one needs any further explanation.
2006 - Florida game. Again, not sure if that one needs any more explaining. LSU played like crap, yet still had chances to win the game in the fourth quarter if it just made a few plays.

for me the depression comes from high expectations and being on the cusp of a momentous change and laying an egg -- with no official controvery or anything, just being beaten.
it's last year's arkansas game and it's not even close for me. w/ the national championship in our sites we can't pull off the victory at home.
the loss to ole miss after we knocked off #1 florida in 97 would have to be second in my mind.
another one would be losing to miami of ohio in the rain.

Losing to Ole Miss the week after beating #1 Florida in 1997 was the most painful loss I ever went through. Nothing felt better than watching Spurrier and Doug Johnson get run out of Baton Rouge the week before and to come crashing down just a week later was horrible.
