I was at LSU in '59 - the chant was all you could hear on campus as Ol Miss arrived on Halloween Day. I'd been there since '56 and don't recall it prior to '59.

Started school in 1963 and leaving stadium after 1st game all you heard was Go to Hell Ole Miss.

I remember the Ole Miss fans in Tiger Stadium would respond by saying "Were here LSU were here."

My mother was a freshman in 1951 and remembered vividly shouting it in the student section. She was worried that my Deacon grandfather could hear her voice over the radio, but did it anyway.
